I sincerely believe in mans age old right to poison himself in the way (s)he sees fit.
That said, there are two things left: a) My drug is digital. Nothing else, unless you'd want to include softdrinks. And b) As much tolerance as I have for people who do drugs, I have none for dealers. I know enough about how they convince people to 'try' the stuff to harbor a deep hatred in everyone selling hard drugs.
[edit] Oh, BTW, this topic is being watched. Let it move one inch in the wrong direction and I'll try my new tools. [/edit]
Reading Without Remorse by Tom Clancy has persuaded me to never have anything to do with drugs. You think you would have a bad enough time with the police, or whoever?? Ha! Just wait till some ex-Navy Seal who lost his girlfriend is **obscenity** off at you.
Certain drugs, like pot and acid, help people realize things about reality that can't be reached normally. They can either be used as a tool for enlightenment, or a way to damage yourself severly. Just as a knife can be used to kill someone or chop vegetables. That's my view, anyway.
drugs themselves are no more evil than a rock. a rock can be a tool and so can be drugs. as a result of drugs i have seen weak people become weaker, angry people do angry things, the wistful find what they have been searching for and some good friends allowing their sadness to overcome their strength. if there were a sufficient support system surrounding them, i think that humanity and individuals could grow very much as a result of drugs, making them a profoundly good things. however, it seems that currently we all are obsessed with indulgence and selfishness too much for this to happpen.
