<div class="IPBDescription">another pic I did</div> not really ns related, but jsut wanting some opinions. I finished my horse pic, its the drak side horse. aka devil horse.

I am planning to colour it, but before I do i made a few versions of it in dif styles and colours. tell me what ya think of the pic.

That's a great drawing. I love the dramatic pose of the horses body...

well, i guess it's good. but i'm not into those kind of "dark" artworks. but in a none biased manner, it's good, in fact, it's actually very good.

and also doctor, you don't wanna call her stuff american, it's an inside reason.

Very impressive, I've heard that horses are one of the hardest things an artist can do. Personally I think the blood on and around the horn and head is a little over the top, could be toned down a little. And the background yellow doesn't illustrate the "dark" nature of the image I think you wan't. Try perhaps giving it a dim blue shine or something a little graveyard/ghost feel to it.

Hmm, regarding the background, I think it does a good job of making the horse look a lot darker because of the contrast of brightness. If you wanted to make the details of the horse more prominent, then making the background darker is definately the first step to go. On the other hand, from what I've seen of your work, kylie, the background is pretty characteristic to your style so maybe its best left how it is : )

lol I dont only do cute art <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> I do a whole lot of different styles of art. My most fav to do is cute, mythical, and evil.

The reason it has a yellow, red background is to represent hell. the yellow and red being the magma, yellow is usually the hottest part of the magma. the red is the cooler part. The devil horse is bringing out its powerful form but ripping its horn and wings out of its body shows the intese power it can produce, thus why it is yellow around it. the red background has dark and light spots to is, like cooling magma or its churning because the hot magma its bringing it back to life. meaning the devil horse is the link to hell its power can bring evil back to life.

thats why it dont have a fancy background .. I wouldnt have expected many of you to understand why it has such a background unless i explained it.

The hell consept is quite clear <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> but I still think a darker deeper red insted of yellow would work better. Even though hell is filled with magma hell is not yellow, not in most peoples eyes that is (perhaps I know the wrong eyes? <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> ). And allthough the black horse does blend ok with the background I think it would blend better if the backround is darkend.

no one knows what hell looks like, so i cant say if your wrong, and you cant say im wrong.

I did not say hell is yellow, I meant lava is like a meaning of hell. the background is like lava showing a hot spot. the sun is the hottest thing around and its yellow.

ahahahaha, WRONG. Sorry, look at a flame (not this one, a real one <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'> ). Notice now the inside is yellow, and the outside is red. maybe YOU'RE the one who needs the lesson? Anyways, Kylie, superb work. I'm not into dark artwork myself, but I really like the feeling of newly spawned wings and horn. It's like this horse just went through a metamorphosis, and we witnessed it's first moments as a new creation. Just beautiful.

Yeah, I realise that and it was a simple mistake, but my actual point was that the yellow <i>isn't</i> the hottest part of liquid-hot magma (<img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>), also, I was talking about black-body curves etc (not that its that different), not your standard candle flame. But yeah, I can see this getting off topic reaaal soon.

It is your picture, I just think it never hurts trying out different colors. And if I did not make this clear I am making it clear now: the horse you drew was a mazing, the coloring of the horse was amazing as well. I did not enjoy the backgorund to the fullest, that does not mean it is bad.
