Good! Next, try key-framing it, so that the marine bends back as the skulk moves towards him. Soon, you'll be able to make full fledged animations (ok, maybe it isn't that easy).

Out of curiosity, how'd you get the models into Maya?

Rotate the torso around 15 degrees, flail the arms a bit, and streach out the claws, and you're on to something.

Erm, you got maya just to pose other models? You gotta start making your own models <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

take a look at the shadows in the 2nd pic - could look like a fade on a Giant lerk <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I have Maya on disc somewhere around here. I think its
on Unreal Tournament 2003 disc 3. Is it easy to learn?
    nub friendly etc?

Turn up specular roll-off (or whatever it's called) to make your light end less abrubtly.

Zoom in more for the second one... its... too small. too much extra space. Also, the marines pose was better in the first. The blood looks like red coloured water. The whole picture just had too be close together and more active like the first. Lastly, how about a gun?

cool stuff so far, id say do some stuff with lighting. dont be afraid to make it dark. also, symetry on kills poses, i notice its alot better on the second one, but any time the positions for arms/legs are the same for L and R, it makes it look static. keep it up!

I dont have patience to learn programs like that... D: i wish i did tho... but yes the marine looks rather awkard in that position :\ cant put my finger on what tho

Looks pretty good. One question though: Are those the premade models from the NS files or did you model them yourself, 'cause in the first one the models look to shiny, almost like smooth plastic action figures. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

I think the 'rine (in the first one more than the second) looks like hes posing like Jesus Christ on the crucifix.

im no artist or anything... (i have no idea how you do that either) but on the first one, its almost like the matrix, because if you notice - his feet are still firmly planted on the ground, NO ONE can bend back like that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
