<div class="IPBDescription">It is i tell you! it is!</div>New version of my wad is downloadable from <a href="http://galileo.spaceports.com/~evstudio" target="_blank">my site</a>.

I've called it version 3.0, but really it's just revision 3. But none-the-less it features:

- <b>137 textures</b>
- All the textures from the HW_NSWM.wad <b><NEW!></b>
- No more { textures that don't actually work <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> <b><NEW!></b>
- Animated Fan Texture (8 frames)
- My famous Marine Dormatory Bed textures <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
- and so much more... well, not a lot more...

Anyways...

    I like the alien goo and the computer textures, but I thought I recognized a few from Max Payne, like the rusty crate.  If there's any copyrighted stuff in there, I want to know what they are, because having it in a map might lower its chances of becoming official.  The NS team doesn't seem to like copyrighted stuff in the mod.

    And the swinging doors didn't seem like they belonged there.  None of the official NS maps have swinging doors in them.

    All the textures are originals, from digital photos I've taken or from stock photos that are royalty free in the public domain...

    Everything I've put in it is legit...

    Cool! I never did end up using any of your textures in ns_nothing (not even the big crate! :/ ), but I'm having a hell of a time trying to make Powerhouse look unique. Maybe these will help. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Thanks for your effort.

    I'm guessing by swinging doors you mean Door_01 - 03..

    I know what you mean - don't know why they are still in there... they are in there from when I first starting mapping for ns when the NSTR1 came out - I should really take them out I guess. I don't even know where they are from - they might be from a Counter-strike texture pack which is even more reason to get rid of them <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Sorry to put you on the spot, Hans, but the attached picture is why I asked, hehe.  That's ok, I just wanted to know. Is it from those texture packs 3DRealms released? I've used some of those myself.

    And BTW, can I have your permission to use some of them in a non-NS map? <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    I'm really confused and to be frank, quite ###### off... not at you - I'm glad you noticed it, cause it's not my intention to steal other peoples work - let alone violate copyright...

    I'm trying to find the makers of max payne's website (not the distributer) so I can email them because I got those crates from a site which claimed authorship of them...

    I don't actually have max payne - can you let me know if any of the others are from it?

    I hate to say it, but about half of the textures look like they are from Max Payne.  I know for a fact that Comp_tv1 through 3, Crate_04, Door_02, Grate_06, and Light_05 are from the game.  It's quite possible that the other textures in those "groups" are from MP, also, because they look similar and have the same naming convention.  Remedy released an "Official Texture Pack" for use with MaxED (level editor), containing all the textures, because they didn't come on the original CD. The text file quotes:

    "The textures in this file are property of Remedy Entertainment Ltd., and can be used only as long as the
    work is recognized as original artwork by Remedy, and no financial profit is made in the process.
    ©1998-2001 Remedy Entertainment Ltd."

    I think you're safe as long as you acknowledge where they're from, but I can't say the same for this site you got them from.

    I hope that helps.

    I'm at the max payne site now and I'm gonna download the textures so I can get rid of the "offending textures" ..as for the naming convention - those files are named how I wanted them named...

    I was ###### off before - now I am just really mad...

    Oh...not as bad as I first thought -

    137 textures before = 120 textures now

    Unoffending version can be gotten from my website - version 3.1 <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    btw, only 17 textures were from Max Payne (according to the texture pack)

    Hopefully these will give me some tex to play with on my map, I hate making textures.  And what "texturing" Ive done so far in it, has been done with lvl geometry...  Kind of a wierd way of being lazy.  <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    <i>Tip:</i>  Dont be a mapper <i>and</i> borderline anal retentive...  DAMN GRID LINES
    haha <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    <i>Edit:</i>  Gud! Some circuitry and metal tex to play with!
