This is a URL with various modes and frame rates for video cards out there now. This is to give you an idea where you stand and where you want to stand when doom3 comes out. I thought this would be a helpful guide for those of you that need it.

I know it helped me out. I am thinking about settling on the ATI 9800 128 MB. There is hardly a difference between 128 and 256 if you notice. Food for thought.

One thing to remember though is that this is from May 12th, 2003, so its not exactly relevant information anymore...

Well I think Doom 3 engine hasn't changed that much since then. However, there might be more cards out since then, but it isn't like those benchmarks are invalid now.

I don't trust alpha or even beta benchmarks. The game has clearly not reached its pinnacle effectiveness and quality yet. I usually treat these as "general direction" information, certainly not something to discern between two cards.
Edit: The lack of the XT and 5700/5950 card(s) renders it moot.
