My Video Card Is Acting Up

<div class="IPBDescription">Hmmm...</div> My video card is pretty good (it's a geforce 4) but lately it has been acting up....

When I'm just casually walking down corridors, my fps will suddenly drop from 60 to 11 without any enemy or ally in sight...

Any explainations?

Or better yet, any solutions?

What drivers are you using?

The latest nVidia ones have been a little, how can we put it, Crap?

I can't figure out what are the best drivers for my GeForce3

It's also possible that somehow DirectX messed up your FPS, it did it to me when I installed 8.0 for the first time. Dropped from 99 to 30 fps average :o
