"foreign" Computer Parts

Again, i'm back with a dumb question regarding computers. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm just wondering, is there any difference between US componants and UK componants. Say, for example, i bought a graphics card from the US, would it still work with UK parts? The only thing that makes me ask this is the difference our power supplies.

    I'm pretty sure nothing changes for in-computer components. The only thing to make sure is if there's a 220/110 switch on the PS if you buy a foreign supply, the screen might not work or also needs this switch (or has an auto switch) and speakers usually aren't able to be brought internationally. The only thing you'd need if you buy all that is also having a power cable as you both have different outlets.

    But PCI/AGP cards, processors, memory, USB-powered elements etc shouldn't be a problem. I should know, I buy my parts in Taiwan regularly

    Theres no reason that a UK part wont work in a US Machine.
