    DO NOT GET TSO!! It is essentially the worlds most expensive chat-room. I recommend Warcraft 3, I also have heard great things about Call Of Duty.

    Ok....actually READ MY POST please. I am the biggest lover of Call of Duty on these forums, I already have Warcraft 3 listed. And TSO is like a big chat room, but it had* its fun moments.

    I'm gonna put KOTOR and Prince of Persia on my list of "Don't Suggest" because I beat them both on consoles, so no fun there <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    maybe some console RPG like the .hack series? or FFX:2 (which I'm personally not touching, there's something... sinister... about having a sequal to a FF game... especially if said sequel involves a summoner all in white wielding akimbo pistols, gangsta style...)

    the sims not-online? UT not-2003 (of course a worse game but better mod scene IMO -- I'll never forget Strangelove...)? Deus Ex 1 (or possibly 2)? All I have is old games on the brain so I guess I'm not much help...

    people seem to like the new Tony Hawk games...

    If you saved up and invested $100 a month in an IRA by the time you were retired you would have $530,000 stored away.

    Or you can buy <b>Grand Theft Auto: Vice City</b>... how do you NOT own THAT game?

    Call Of Duty = Great Single Player (a little short) and Great Multi!
    Max Payne 2 = Far Too Short but lots of MOD's and MOD Tools to play with.
    Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time = Fun Fun Fun (Damn fun!) & Also Kinda Short.

    I would definatly go with Max Payne 2. It runs brilliantly and the physics are fun to mess about with <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Or you could try Vietcong. The demo for it sucks but it's really good.

    Since you already got Prince of Persia & KOTOR, I'd say go for Max Payne 2. Or maybe Dues Ex 2. Or perhaps Soul Calibur.

    Also Castlevania: Lament of Innocense on the PS2 rocks hard.

    Yeah, you can't go wrong with the new Castlevania. I rented it and played it nonstop for the five days and still didn't beat it. Though the level design does get kinda boring, the action is usually pretty fresh.

    I would go with max payne 2 - I haven't played it through but it looks and plays great.

    If you've not got Frozen Throne, go pick it up for $30 in stores or $20 off the net.

    Otherwise, I'm tossing my vote in for Max Payne 2, great game.

    Don't know if you have Xbox Live, or if you're a big fan of FPS games but

    Ghost Recon - (...breaks you 6 month rule, but oh well <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ) Xbox
    Ghost Recon: Island Thunder - Xbox (yea, there's also PC versions, but the Xbox's are tweaked, still might not want to be without a mouse though)

    Max Payne 2 - Xbox/PC/maybe PS2 ...can't remember (although it's quire short and you might want to wait until the price drops)

    Rise of Nations - PC (might also break your 6 month rule, and it's an RTS...it's sortof like Age of Empires and Risk combined - for single player games at least. I find it's more balanced than AoE.

    Well, that's all I can think of at the moment.
    (small, off topic, unrelated side note: I found PoP boring and repetitive...and kind of annoying, but I'm weird)

    Updating List.

    And Duff- I ALWAYS get Blizzard Expansions if I get the first game. (I didn't get D2, not getting it).

    I'd browse the web for addictive games once or twice if I were you.

    Games like gunbound can be a pleasant distraction <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Too many games nowadays are beig labelled as "short". I actually like it better; as it condenses the action into intense packets of fun that, due to the game's linear nature, would be boring if it were to be drawn out. As long as the game is good <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    by the way- Prince of Persia is NOT short. AT ALL. Its at least 20, if not 30 to 40 hours. A LOT. And at the same time, TONS of replayability.
  • kidakida Join Date: 2003-02-20 Member: 13778Members
    Buy a whole bunch of gameboy "50 games in 1" cartridges for cheap and you could have well over 1000 games. Plus spend that extra 25 dollars on pizza and beer! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Get the heroin game! It's fiendishly addictive.

    Er...for current list I vote either MP 2 or Hitman 2.

    But get Rise of Nations.
