    No. Having marines on the offensive stops them from endlessly camping the kharra. That + the timelimit is a heck of a better solution than aliens gaining XP over time.

    Reason: With the current structure of Co, marines have it too easy and all they do is sit and wait, with no reason to attack they dominate the aliens and it is not a fun game to play.

    Create maps with a cramped marine start and about 80 vent entrances, and the only way you can get out is through narrow vents. Then make it so every entrance to the hive room is a vent, and the only one that allows you to actually attack the hive is right underneath and doesn't let you view or get to the actual room. Then you can set it so aliens have to attack.

    Actually this might be a great idea. It would lets the marines move out without worrying about their com chair. Hopefully we would see more offense from the marines, particularly if they were loudly tolf they were in the offense part of the round. This could in fact rescue combat from its current plight. I strongly supourt this idea and i would love to see it in action.

    Tbh it would be much better if each team gets a chance to attack the hive or cc without having to worry about defence. Ok youre worried about spawn camping? All you have to do is make sure that the marines get no exp for killing aliens on their offensice round, they will get exp for killing hive though. The defending team will get exp for killing attackers, but cannot attack the other teams objective during this time. I would also suggest spawn invulnerability at certain times to prevent camping.
    This way comabt has an objective and if you fail to take your objective down then the defenders get stronger form all the exp youve given them.

    kolokol, the problem is that when marines are on the defensive they will never leave base. They will find a good place to set up and aim at an entrance, and if the marine have decent aim, aliens will never get to the CC. The only way to solve this is to create a really screwed up map (like I described above) where marines can't defend themselves in marine start, forcing them to move out.
