heya!

What do u think about the point system in NS, should it stay?
I think its useless and should be gone forever!!!!

Yesterday i played a NS game (not combat), i had a shotgun at lvl 3 and killed an Onos, the second after i heard U freaking FRAGSTEALER GO TO HELL, HE WAS MINE, **** YOU..... Then i saw i was kicked from server.....
is that right just couse u want teamplay adn win the game, not the best stats......
I ahte the points system, i enjoyed NS more without it, i know u could put stats in console, but how many were doing that actually ? i never did it, and now u just have to press TAB to check stats, more noobs doing it then noobs doing typing Stats in console.....

    people **** about KSing no matter if there is a point system or not (remember, the game originaly had none)

    all you did was find a bad server (if an admin boots your for KSing, then you don't wana play there anyway).

    there are pleanty of other servers.

    If an admin on a server kicks you for helping the team, that server wouldn't bring you much joy, point system or not.

    Games are for fun, when ppl start to play too fanatic for points its hardly a game anymore, fun & teamwork, thats why I play NS and very few times co.

    is an idiot.

    what hapens if the other guy who 'has' it is actualy out of ammo, or just hapens to miss? You kill the skulk, always, especialy in CO (as you are also depriving the skulk of any chance of a frag).

    Well...on a good day...you'll find a good server where you can just kill anything not your species. On a bad day...well...you run into a person who has a branch in an inconvieninet orfice and you say....oh well I'm here to enjoy meself. Go climb that tree that branch is from. But I really don't care if you "steal my kill." You killed the guy who's trying to kill me? Thanks!

    1.04 had scores hidden and the score sheet didn't change compared to how you were doing. Maybe a revert back to that?

    Thats how I see it to. The marine team is suposed to use teamwork to beat the aliens, not soloing. In addition to that, in combat mode you still get EXP as long as you're in the area where they were killed.

    If you get threaded like that on a server the server doens't deserve to have players.
    In your case I'd find a new server to play on with nicer people.

    Bah, with ns 3.0 beta 3 there are plenty of servers.
    The main problem for me in 3.0 is that there are a lot more servers comparing to players number, it is hard to stay on my fav servers .

    You experienced a bad managed server, that happens a lot more than you think.
    One time, i was on a server, i was doing to many "frags" as marines.
    Treated as a cheater by the admin and booted out of the server.
    He did not even spec me.
    I was flattered that i was called a cheater.
    For you, if someone kill a anything that can threaten me, i'm am very grateful, cause i don't care who kill the stupid alien, its just dead, that's the only important point.
    Some ppl do think like us, and play for fun, and not for kill ratio, which is stupid as without teamwork you will never do a positive ratio anyway <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    If you are so caught up with points, maybe NS isn't the game for you. NS isn't about points. Rambo types just don't play well in NS, and those are typically the types that play for points, not for fun.

    If you want points, go play CS and use your cheat program to snipe through walls. If you want fun, play NS and help your teammates. 'Nuff said.
