I was under the impression VALVe did not want the CZ models converted until after the release; at least that's the general vibe amongst the CS communityand the CDG forums.

Oh well, it didn't fit NS anyway, and I can see where you're coming from.

I was actually just hoping to be able to use the CS:CZ hostages (I actually own CS:CZ) in my regular Counter-Strike. I'm not sure if that's against the rules or not.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

I copied over most of the CZ models/sounds to my CS directory. They made the game look and sound 10 times better.

That was my entire question in the first place. How do you find them to copy them over when the deleted scenes doesn't even start with a models folder?

Uh there is a models folder.

At least in my install there is.

I think someone is going to be converting the machete from CS:CZ to NS anytime now <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If you own CS:CZ and want to use it for yourself in regular CS, they don't mind, because you paid for it. What they don't like is freely distributing it to people who didn't pay.

At least, that's what it was last I heard, which was a while ago. I know they were mad about the leaked version's models because they were done by a studio who wasn't going to finish the game and their models and textures weren't going to be used in the final release.
