Or you could have asked me. All I would need is an image to use for the spray and then I could make it into a decal for you. Go find one or PM me if you want me to make you one and turn it into a logo.

I'll also volunteer for making custom sprays, as it's a hobby of mine. I'd be more than happy to, just contact me. <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo-->

What is the maximum size that a spray can be? I tried making one, but the limits meant it ws tiny. The dimensions have to be divisible by 9, and multiply to give a number lower than some power of 2. :S

    /me guesses 1024

    Sorry to semi-hijack the thread. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

No actually the correct size for a decal is

    X^2 x X^Y / SIN x 100 / 2.121 x Y =

    Get it?

    I started to, then I reached "SIN X 100".

    Math Debug V1

    A
    You mean "100 Sin x", x being a number - Fine, go to B
You mean "Sin * 100" - Sin is a function, not something you can multiply by

    B
"X^2". Fine X squared. But, if "X" is ... "ex" (the letter), then "x" must be "*" (the multiplication operator,) so "sin x 100" is a bull.

On a simpler note, if you presssume X and Y to be the dimensions, then you have not given any units, so the equation is worthless.

Maybe I should just shutup now.

U need to replace the file called tempdecal.wad

Its way down in the steam directory

Im not 100% sure but I think its something like

    Steam/Steamapps/HL/NS/tempdecal.wad

You need to replace both pldecal.wad and tempdecal.wad. You have to check both of them as read-only.

The size has to be divisible by 16, the decal has to be less than 16KB (I think... or 15K, something like that) as a .wad, and width * height has to be less than or equal to 10752

It's usually easiest to take a pre-existing texture (I took the ladder texture), and alter it, so you don't have to bother with messing up the palette and colors, etc. =P

You can use a decal converter program to make your tags.

    <a href='http://cssprays.www-pros.com/downloads/downloads.htm' target='_blank'>http://cssprays.www-pros.com/downloads/downloads.htm</a>

    Fourth one down.

It make the decals for you without having to do anything.
Just make sure the picture you're converting isn't too wide or too long (one or the other).Make sure you change the name pldecal to tempdecal.wad.

For steam NS you have to put the tempdecal.wad into the
    Steam/Steamapps/blah@blah.com/half-life/nsp/tempdecal.wad
Also don't open the options menu if you have the custom tag.I'll get overwritten with the normal NS tags.

There is no pldecal.wad in steam NS, that I know of.

Make the tempdecal.wad read-only <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> After that delete the custom.hpk, if you join a server wait a bit till he loaded the Logo,

It cant be bigger then 12kb, best use 128x64 or 256x32 size.
