I love to <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> lots of <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo--> but I can't anymore because of steam.

Ok so I've been playing NS for a while, and I just switched to steam, yeah I know it's been out a while but I had no problems with the last version.

So I follow the steps exactly, and I mean exactly to the letter about how to install the Beta 3. (install steam, load up Halflife and load up training, installed client 1, installed the b3 patch)

So I do that and well I can't see the game in my games selection. I know someone who just did it and he did the exact same thing as me, except his worked. I have no idea whats wrong, (I did a quick search and found something about movine the nsp folder, so I tried that but it didn't work, I tried reinstalling steam and everything twice) So I'm open for suggestions, any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think this will help much but...

Intel Centrino 1.3
Crappy built in graphix and sound card (worked with old NS so...)
WinXP Home
Using a Counter Strike key...

Umm yeah I think thats about all thats usefull, thanks for any help, I won't be able to check this for a while (I'm going on vacation for a week) So I'll check it when I get back....thanks in advance guys, (I'll check before I leave tomorrow morning but only to answer any questions)

    I have the same problem but I almost managed to fix it. It is realy hard to explain because iam not sure what did. What I did was install steam then ns and the patch. well maby the problem isint the same but it involves steam and they probably are related. Steam was what was used to fix the problem that nobody had and sadly rather buggy. Any way uninstall steam and then get ns running on h-l again. then try to play half life in steam thought the hl choice isint available. it will say it needs to download it 420mb let it do so. It will import the files from sierra to the steam file. and trust me trying to install ns by itself into steam is a pain. but if it still dosent work check the directory and all that crap and begin to move files. if i figure it out or find an easier way then ill tell you.
