<div class="IPBDescription">and it isnt the scorpian</div> I read a list of updates to 2.1 before it became 3.0, or maybe some 3.0 upgrade.
Somewhere in that list it said that if you evolved to a lerk in a special way you would be able to hovar without flapping.
Was this a joke? if not, how do you do it?

It was a joke that Flayra passed around at *I think* the old playtest channel on IRC. Sadly, I don't know what the name of that channel is. I doubt it exists now though....
The simplest way to see how the new lerk flyingmodel works is a simple experiment on the bridge over the high room wich holds vetilation-hive on ns_nothing.
Get as Lerk on the bridge and jump down with spacebar (or whatever you binded as jumpkey) pressed while looking donw to the ground. Youll fall down but if you pull you mouse back (not inverted) so that you look up 90? you will notice that your fallingspeep gets nearly completely transferred to forwardspeed, which brakes slowly. You can get in this way into the hovar state, which allows completely flappless flight for a long tme (if youre good) with only one flap every 150m. Annother hint is to move your mouse up and down slowly to fly in parables while hovaring, this extends your hovertime.
youll get it after 10min of trying. <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo-->

So there.
Also, lerking is easy once you realize how much freedom of movement you have. Aim, tap, bite.</span>
For god's sake, it's "SCORPION". I'm going to kill the next person who types "scorpian"!!!

Here is a good rule of thumb:
Unless the misspelling causes confusion as to the poster's intent (i.e. changes the meaning of the phrase), assume that THEY know what they are saying and that YOU have just found a new word to learn.
While nobody will get mad at you for spelling "turrets" the English way, don't get mad at "turrents". It is correct. You are not fluent. Read and learn.
No Sir! <span style='color:orange'>IT IS NOT TURRENT!</span>
it never was, has never been and never will be Turre<span style='color:red'>N</span>t! Its spelled turret! <span style='color:orange'>TURRET</span>.
