Note on the 3D views: me sure to play around with the menu system and rotating the model. Right click on the 3D view to open the menu.

    None of these really grabs me I'm afraid. The 1500-poly mine is the most attractive, but I think that's probably rather too high for a mine unless it had smaller peewees.

    well **** on me... i clicked the button to select phyco's but then i clicked show results. so.. add one on there for the 'real' score.

    (any way you could put the null vote button off to the side or in red text or something, i know i was just being stupid, but other people are stupid sometimes too... and i don't want to screw up again : / )

    was going by the "detail level" class... knives/nades would be the least detailed... this group next, then lmg/hmg/shotty class... then the gl, then players...


    i think i might have a prize for only the "best of all" model poll winner(s).

    i voted coltranes. im not much a pistol person, because personally i think the desert eagle blows all pistols and most anything else out of the water.

    the mines were good, but REDDs seemd too high poly for a mine, and the other was good, but seemed it might of needed a little more detail.

    coltranes i liked the best because it was a good all around model. i really like that trigger, it looks neato.

    phycos was close, but im not one for taclights and a bit boxy.

    akas seemed too boxy also, but not bad.

    chronos is good as always, but it seems to be "just another chrono model" cept with a silencer. all of chronos models are great, but they seem to be about the same thing to me.

    this decision was a very close call, all these are very good.

    but as i said before, boy howdy the desert eagle blows everything outta the water.

About the PC - i kept to the limit of 1500 thinking that that was a good guide, much like many of the pistols are probably near their limit too.     Havent seen the rule about backface deleting. anyway.. even with the backfaces Im a good way behind the max pc.

    you're a lot less likely to see a bunch of pistols on the floor at a time than you are to see mines, though. that's the same reason enemy grunts in games usually have lower detail than main characters. and just hoiw fighting game characters can be so detailed.

    the backfaces of the mine should really be there. you see them alot when the mine is placed on an edge or soemthing.

    i voted Red's mine.
    i just don't like pistols.
    there's only so much variety you can get with a barrel and a handle. and when variety does arise, it usually looks wierd and uncomfortable. they're like knives. pointy objects have stayed the same for 2000 years. pistols are no different. the current style grip is the best design possible. they will never look different. the only thing that differentiates pistols imo is what's underneath the barrel. I almost voted phycho because he had an interesting underbarrel design, but i had to go with the mine, because I love mines.
