I Miss Adv. Hive Sight.

<div class="IPBDescription">Am I alone on this?</div> I loved it, I used it all the time because my monitor and GFX card doesnt allow my to turn gamma up to BURN_RETINA mode. I think it would be a great addition to scent of fear, or have parasited marines stick out in a group. I just miss it (Heck, you could make it a 3rd hive ability that would give the "flashlight" on aliens an actual use.)

So am I alone on this? Anyone else want to bring it back?

    I loved adv. hivesight! It was so overpowered though. It was like impossible to stop the 6 skulk adv. hivesight rush.

    What did advanced hivesight do? I don't ever recall using it.....maybe because sensory were so rare back then.

    It did something along the lines of making marines brighter, as an alien would look if you turned on your flashlight. This made it impossible for marines to hide in the dark.

    This is correct. It would be like having a big sign that said "Eat me" pointing down towards them. For me, it made aiming ALOT easier.

    true, but it was never worth wasting a whole upgrade on..

    it would be good if it just worked, maybe with 3 hives built (flashlight on ofcourse).

    Yea I remeber sensory chamber in 1.04 in my favorite server being first upgrade most of the time (Because of overpowering mod that made sensory cloak itself and other buildings while parasiting marines or/and letting aliens know if marine is coming with that constant sound about enemy is near or something. Making sensory chambers cameras for aliens to put around double or hive to see if the marines are going to attack or siege it.). Those were the days I knew when sensory chamber was the strongest upgrade.

    Flayra acknowledged that entry a long time ago, I hope he follows through on it. It would be really nice to have a reason to use the flashlight for at least one of the teams.

    I certainly hope it does get in, because ATM, the alien flashlight doesn't even give any advantages.

    While marines can use it to illuminate dark spots, aliens can....see their teammates? In fullbright BURN_RETINA mode?

    I would be up for having Adv. Hivesight implemented in the regular flashlight. (Maybe except BURN_RETINA mode <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    i use flashlight all the time as aliens, in ns, hiding behind rts or ocs while looking through them, in co, tracking that jper from on top of the hive, watching, waiting.
