<div class="IPBDescription">new map objective</div> Online Evolution's King Of The Hill BETA 1

King Of The Hill is a combat map with a spin. Unlike a regular combat map,
you are unable to enter an opposing teams base thus destroying the hive/cc.
Instead you have to be present in a room for three minutes, the room at the
top of the map. After around two minutes, you are able to enter this room
plus be able to weld/destroy targets that open up secret shortcuts from the
base to the room that allows much easier access. Enjoy this new kind of map!

For right now, I have the map up on a mirror site due to mine being down for maintenence by the webhosts.

    Ok, this map is reallly wierd but has alot of potential.

    1) How do aliens enter the room if marines are dominated by aliens.
    2) Marines can only get up there successfully with a jetpack
    3) State : This map needs shed loads of teamwork and co-operation.

    I ran about myself in it for a while as rines and it took something like a year to get up there. Then I tried as aliens and I got up in a few seconds. Maybe you should make the side walls non-climbable? Or is it OK when there are mulltiple players on the level? I like the idea. This is Hitman btw.

    I am the orignal map maker of ns_Kingofthehill ; I hope this isn't a copy of mine, because that would be very nice, because I've already got a tag ready for a co_KOTH, and I've got released maps for ns_KOTH.

    nsarmslab.com under Custom Models, look at the NS maps link, and v2 is right there. I'm on 3.3 right now at the moment

    I just finally looked at it, and on second thought. By the pitty from me compared to what I've got, just keep yours. I'll called it the POS_KOTH for now.

    beta 2 is in the works right now and will be out either tonite or tomorrow. plus my site is back up (http://www.mapping.troubledeye.com) so ill add a co_kingofthehill_b2 for it when it releases.

    beta 2 fixes one bug that sometimes happens will variables setting/resetting. it also changes a lot of balance issues. 2 new ways in the control room. lava that encompasses the large room around hte buildings (room where the ladder is and the door to the ramps, right there is lava like 48 pixels thick) thus seperating the map in two and u have to use that central room to get up (made in more of choke point), now if u fall u hit the lava, or fly upwards (if below) u die. and no more bombarding skulks from the very top to bottom. helps fps too. adding 3 elevators. one in central room and 2 into the control room. added more "stuff" around to make it more friendly to aliens (mgs mowing down).
