this jumps several times in succession, so you don't "stick" to the ground as you jump. if you've ever played a quake game, you'll remember how you could hit the jump button in midair, and still perform a jump ASAP as you land. this is what this script does. some people prefer to use the mousewheel over this, but personally this gives me more control as I'm bhopping. you can bhop without said script, but unless you've got ub3r perfect timing, you're probably gonna stick to the ground every few seconds, even with the most basic bhop manuevers. if you plan on making more complex jumps (i.e. jumping on fences, jumping down platforms etc.) this script allows you to jump as soon as you land. however, this script does NOT do the mouse movements required for bhopping, which can often be just as hard to learn as timing the jumps. note that <b>this does not take ANY control or speed away from the bhop. anyone who tells you this is either retarded or a liar</b>
a common pistol script: // pistol script alias +pscript "+attack;" alias -pscript "-attack; wait; +attack; wait; -attack;"
this fires once as you press the button down, and again as you let go. if you fire and let go too fast, this script has no effect as you'll be firing faster then the pistol RoF. with some practice tho, you should be able to fire at the max RoF 90% of the time. some people can fire at the maximum RoF naturally (at least they say they can...), but this helps make your firing rate more consistent. this does take "some" control away from you, but it rarely makes a difference.
leap bite/blink swipe scripts on the other hand really do take away a good level of control from you. personally I use the default slot1-4 keys, but some people use lastinv. lastinv is serverside, so the weapon change might be delayed depending on your ping. from what I hear, this script should make a "clientside" lastinv

I don't think it's either. It seems to be more of a purist playing mentality. Communist with a gun tried to make fun of me by copying my quote and saying I was stupid. He said the pistol has a set rate of speed so there arent any pistol scripts so I was nub. Well in the quote he copied it states that this problem was fixed, but there USED to be pistol scripts. It seems those silly commies cant read still...
There are bh scripts, but they do take away some control. You can still use a pistol script if you suck at clicking fast or spinning mouse wheel. Like I stated, scripts wont make you elite they will just make you better if you suck. I dont consider some scripts like last inv or fastswitch to be scripts though. They come with the game and are just preferences.

I feel I should just add a little point to this - probably one of the few scripting examples that could be considered cheating is the fade blink-metabolize script that allows you to blink then instantly metabolize and you end up with a fade with perfect control (so easy to use), never runs out of adrenaline, and is more or less impossible to kill due to the constant metabolise while 'blinking'. or just have some button bound to +moveup (i have it on my mouse) it's the only one you really need.
and yes, you could make a set of aliases that let you convert +forward to +moveup when you executed +wall ... but that requires too much typing ^^
There are bh scripts, but they do take away some control. You can still use a pistol script if you suck at clicking fast or spinning mouse wheel. Like I stated, scripts wont make you elite they will just make you better if you suck. I dont consider some scripts like last inv or fastswitch to be scripts though. They come with the game and are just preferences.
sorry i forgot to add about looking straight in horizon and no wall/ground strafing just what a nubby pub skulk will do <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't find it terribly hard to hit my Q key and do the exact same thing. (I'm not even that great as a fade, but doing a blink-metab isn't too difficult regardless...)
