<div class="IPBDescription">Blink overpower</div> Hello I was playing on some pub servers last night, The blink ability for fades should be changed, in return for more hp/armor for fades. What was happening was one fade could charge rine base, where there were 6-7 rines kill all the rines by blink/hit technique. This was against rines that had level 2 armor and weaps. The fade was eventually about 30 kills and 3 deaths. This is unfair. 6-7 rines 5 turrets, and fade still kills everyone. Ways to fix this: Up the energy it takes to use the blink ability, so it takes about 1/3 - 1/4 your energy to use blink once. Fades dont need to be able to chain blink to be effective, they are powerfull otherwise.

I thought that was the point of Blink?
Making blink bad doesn't fix anything, except for making the aliens become weaker. The best solution would be to aim better. The fade has to stop, even for a split second, and it only takes 3-4 shotgun blasts to kill it. You needed to aim better as a team and you needed to put pressure outside of your base, forcing it to retreat further, giving you guys some breathing space. By not pressuring it, you gave it time to heal, and let it wear away at you until you lost.
Play the game longer, you'll see it's not bad at all.
There was a much longer thread on the consties forum before that one went public and its been brought up many times. Basically I think at least 80% of the hardcore pub players agree and many of the clanners. This isn't for me an issue about balance though the fades 'power' can be adjusted in many ways its just ... well read the thread.
- 4 marines in nano.
- 4 shotguns.
- Blink in.
And toasted. That's what happens when marines can actually aim.

blink is too powerfull if you are good at it..
then nothing can stop you.. an good onos dies 10 times as much as a good fade
Then it will make fades easier to handle for noobs, but also make it harder for the the very best to go around getting 60-0 ratios.
Fades are overpowered in the right hands, and worthless in the hands of the majority of NS players.

Blink is slower than it was in 2.01, it has more hp/armor than it had in 2.01.
Blink is designed that way. Just pray that the fade runs out of energy before he decides to run away. If he manages to use Metabolize....well, you're toast. That's all I can say.
