Help Me Demystify Some Ns Abilities/attacks

gimme the lowdown on charge, devour,...
charge: i've tried it before and i'm told i'm supposed to aim down when i use it. it's still sortof hit-or-miss for me as i still find it difficult to use. anything more specific i should know other than "aim down"? and what about targets who aren't below me? and how do i keep from sliding around targets i'm trying to charge?

devour: i find this attack surprisingly difficult to use. sometimes i have to use it several times at point blank range before i swallow anything. how far does it reach? and how precise does my aim have to be?

leap: does leap actually deal damage or is it just for locomotion?

focus: how much damage to i gain when i use this upgrade? does my average damage over time increase when i'm using it (lets say i'm chewing on some structure so acquiring new targets is a non-issue)?

catalyst and resupply: how exactly do these work? if i buy them, do i only get their benefits once?

also, if there's any comprehensive source where i can find all this information, feel free to point me to that instead. thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

Devour is like any other weapon, just put the center of the screen on the marine. Yes it has range, i cant tell you exactly though.

Leap does damage, you just leap on an afk marine 2 or 3 times to kill him.

Focus doubles the damage, but also takes more time.

You get catalysts every time you kill an alien, you get medpacks when you loose health, you get resupply when you're low on ammo.

Charge is more for mobility than anything... It just doesn't do much damage D=

As for devouring... Aim at the marine's wing-dang-doodle, and try crouching when you're using devour. It tends to work better.

Here's a tip: while using charge or leap you can switch weapons and use them to attack. As me23 said, charge and leap are just for mobility, although they do some damage.

If you are using focus while attacking a structure, it initially deals out damage at the same rate (doubling attack damage and halving attack rate). However, once you run out of adrenaline with an unfocused attack, the focused attacks become better since you don't run out of adrenaline.

Focus: increases attack damage by 33%, but decreases attack speed by 50%. For the fisrt hit, focus is more powerful, but for anything more than 1 hit, un-focused skulks will take it out faster than focused skulk.

Charge is one of the most powerful attacks. ignore all these people saying it is only for mobility. It takes out a commchair pretty damn fast becuase (i believe) it does double damage against structures.

Catalyst is in both combat and classic. If increases your attack speed, movement speed and reload speed. in combat, you get it after killing an alien. in classic, the comm drops them.

resuply is on combat only. you get health when you are hurt, and when your health is full, you get ammo if you have less than a clip of bullets left.

Uhh....Bogglesteinsky, Catpacks don't increase reload speeds.

And focus increases attack power by 33% and slows it down by 34%, otherwise you would attack 150% slower. It's pretty obvious that isn't the case.
Charge does not do double damage against structures. People have suggested that, but that isn't the case. And, generally speaking, charge sucks. It does less damage over time than gore, which DOES do double damage vs structures.

Resupply gives ammo whenever you have less than 0.2*maximum spare ammo(1 being the maximum). So for the LMG you need to have less than0.2*250=50 spare bullets to get resupplied.

I LOVE charge. With adrenaline, you can run into an alamo-ed marine start with charge going and gore any rine you come across, then run out. When I do that, I usually get 3-4 marines in the time it takes for my adren to run out (not heavies, though. Just lights).

so how exactly do you aim a charge attack? i wish there was some better indication of whether the attack is connecting or not

You do not aim charge. You activate it. When activated, it causes you to move at great speed and deal damage upon contact (though only when you are moving in the direction of the victim, I believe). It does not deactivate until you run out of energy.

I find charge to be generally useless because you can't aim, and your a huge target running around. I usually get stuck and it takes time to turn around and aim at rines. Also hmgs and gls will rip you apart even with adren and carapace in ns or co mode.

"taking time to aim at marines" "getting stuck" and gettign ripped apart by HMGs happen independantly of charge. However, with carhge you escape faster, so are less likely to die.

Charge deals damge pretty gernerously round the head area of the onos, attacks occuring one every time period. Ie, they are not activated on contact, but anything touching you (including multiple targets,) is dealt damage at regular intervals.

I did extensive testing in 1.04 to find this, so it may now be updated.
