<div class="IPBDescription">Give me some critique</div> I made <a href='http://www.bownet.org/njohnson' target='_blank'>NSCentral</a> (url to change, I have to keep it those for the time being) for a school project and I was wondering what you guys think of it right now. All the information good? I know I don't have all the structures but I was forced to do what I could with the time restraint I had on the project. There are a total of 135 pages on it and alot of images. I am going to make the header this weekend because the project is due on monday. I know it might look bad that is because we HAD to use frontpage which I despise quite a bit
Thanks if you check it out, tell me what you think of it.

    There are a few grammatical errors on the front page ("it's" instead of "its", capitalized word right after a comma), but it's not a big deal; those things just stand out for me. The format looks good. I'm sure there will be more there later, since you had a limited amount of time.

    yeah, I still have to add some things to it. I'm going to make it into a community website once I get enough people to help me with it.

    if your site supports PHP/MySQL, get a CMS (content management system)... PHP-Nuke is probably the best known, but personally, I think<a href='http://www.e107.org/' target='_blank'>e107</a> is the best CMS

    Yeah I was thinking of using e107. I use to use that all the time, so much easier to use and alot userfriendly (from my experience).

    I'd say change to a sans-serif font such as verdana or helvetica, simply because they display better on monitors. Serif fonts such as Times New Roman are meant for printing. Second (though this is mainly my personal opinion and standards-zealot coming out), ditch the frames. I hate them. You can do much the same thing either with just plain HTML or with a CMS or your own PHP templates. Gives a more professional and appealing view. To do a quick PHP one, just use
    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1--><?php include("/path/to/file"); ?><!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
    and have the HTML code in the referenced file.

    One more little (okay little for the viewers) change I can think of: CSS. Style sheets are good. Yeah, front page sucks something I can't really mention here, but you can just use the non-WYSIWYG (HTML coding) component to add CSS.

    Okay I lied about 1 more change. NOW 1 more change. Add
    <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->border="0"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2--> to your image tags or use CSS and <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->border:0px;<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2--> to get rid of the nasty white borders around your images.

    But there is some nice content, which is, naturally, really important. Most of what remains is just aesthetics. Promising site though <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Edit: Here's a quick render of the "new" GL I did in max...

    Thanks so much. It is going to look COMPLETELY different once I get a design up then I will start putting the content on it. This is just for a school project. I had to use frames, I had to use all of the stuff that is there. That might be why it might not look that good. I will post some updates when I am finally finished.

    If you would like to help me in this project please e-mail me at k1nk0s@comcast.net or visit my website <a href='http://www.k-faction.com' target='_blank'>http://www.k-faction.com</a> (willing to take anyone that can be helpful) as for the site. I didn't get an exact grade since I didn't have the time to get it. but the teacher said I did an excellent job so it should be around a 100 (hopefully). Anyways, thanks for your tim. I haven't updated the GL pic yet but I will get to it. Thanks again.

    Btw, I will be gone till sunday so if you e-mail me don't respect a response till then <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Under the info in Mines you said "You only get 5 mines for the 10 res, but it does deal about 90 damage per hit." You get 4 mines not 5.
