Heavily impressed

I'm very very impressed
I know that those threads appeared occasionally in the past, sometimes mutating to a prayer-fest, sometimes to a flame-fest.

I'm following this mod since March 2002, catched by a (in my opinion incredible) screenshot of SpaceStationNothing. I looked around the main page and got to the forums.

This was the first time I ever really used a forum, and after a couple of weeks, I thought that I know enough to post my own ideas.
At that point, I didn't know how special this community was. I had never used other forums before, so I thought it were normal to be friendly and open-minded to Newcomers (I hate the word "Newbie" or "Noob"). Now that I'm more experienced in the World Wide Web, I know that that's something I won't find again soon.

But perhaps I was even more impressed by the dedication of the developers. I always admired people who spend their free time to create a modification, but here I was able to get a little idea of how much dedication is possible.
I still admire everyone who creates something free in his spare time, but I fear that none can beat the Natural-Selection Developers in terms of dedication.

Normally I checked the forums every day, looking for news. The release was always "very near" and only a few really believed that I think. Then, some weeks ago, the official map-list was released, and rumours about a big "PR-Blitz" started. At that day, I believed that the release was near. Unfortunately, I was forced to leave my precious Internet-connection two weeks ago and just got back.
I wasn't able to check the forum for exactly 14 days.
That was a hard time.

However, today I'm just impressed. I know that this sounds weird because I was impressed before, I was always impressed.

But today, as I see the work of four days PR-Blitz, as I read the Manual (great design Fam) and watch the trailer, I begin to realize what dimensions this mod (a shame to call this still a mod) has taken.

I want to congratulate all who were and/or are involved in the creation of Natural-Selection.
I think sometimes even the Developers didn't know how big things can get.

I also want to thank them all. Some people don't like praising fans like me, but I just had to say this.

A minimal response that takes me just a couple minutes to compose, but I second everything you stated. I'm glad I found out about this mod over 6 months ago. I'm glad I got my friends interested in the mod. I'm very glad that I made a tremendous push of this game at a highly popular forum. Every time I see new content my words and time spent looking into this mod have been validated. The developers have not let us down at all so far and I would like to let them know my appreciation as well. Hope to see you guys on the battlefield.

Thanks for the kind words, Ramses. The dedication of you, and everyone else in the community, has really helped us through this project. It's always nice to feel that all your hard work is appreciated by someone.
