<div class="IPBDescription">Why wont Powerstrip work with NS?</div>NS is too dark. I use the gamma tool 'PowerStrip' to boost the gamma in other games and it works fine with Counterstrike(Steam) but for some reason it refuses to work with Natural Selection(Steam). Please help, its frustrating to be running around in the dark with jaws clamped to my ankles.
My system:
CPU: 2x AMD 2400+ MP
RAM: 1GB PC2100 DDR ECC Reg.
Grafics: Ati RADEON 9700 Pro
Grafics mode and resolution: OpenGL at 1024x768 (desktop running at 1600x1200 75hz)
Sound: Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II
OS: Win XP
Running 'Steam' and NS v3.x Beta
P.S. I have all gamma and brightness and contrast settings on max. I downloaded the newest drivers for my grafics card yesterday, no change.

Yes. The monitor brightness and contrast have both been set to maximum.
How do I bypass the gamma lock in NS then?
Try closing all other programs, then go into ns and while you are in game hit alt-tab a bunch. If you closed everything else, alt-tab will not actually change programs, but do it repeatedly it can sort of jog the gamma into accepting the correct values.
i found a way to get PS working: after join a game, press WIN key, it will bring you back to the desktop, then alt-tab back to game, PS works.
i don't know why NS lock the gamma, my monitor is so dark if i don't use PS i can only see 50% things...
With GeForce it will change everything (including desktop) but with Radeons you can do desktop and in-game separately.
