Lmg Rush

I've seen some really short games before, but all the time they were skulk rushs. Today, on Texas [HK] our comm send us out to cap res on Veil. He said their main hive was cargo, so I was surprised to see that in fact it was sub-sector. After some seconds, we were 4 rines in there, so the comm told us to empty all our clips into it. With my last pistol bullet, the hive went down and two skulks who tried to get there in time where just cannon fodder. Game Time: <span style='color:green'> 2 min 4 sec. </span>

Has anyone seen a faster (regular - no F4) marine win yet?

    yes i have

    i was bored on some uk server so a organised a shotty rush.. well, i didnt time it but hive went down in less than a half a minute when they got there.

    to be honest any kind of start rush is plain stupid, after all we are playing for those good games.

    Well, if you could do it with only LMG's and lv0 ups, the aliens had to be screwed anyway. Like TOmekki said, regular sg rush can end the game in less than a minute (even though low armor makes it make-or-break attempt).

    Shotgun / Mine rush can do it fastest, I think.

    But like everyone said, it's all or nothing. You either win, or get owned in under 2 minutes.

    Yeah a smart rush is sg mines. Recommened for 6v6 so 4 people can have sg mines, 2 have lmgs(with sgs=rape) and 1 ip.

    in a clan match if aliens dont have good scouting, 3 marines can easily slip into the hive, and with good aim, the spawn camp is very hard to break

    I also like the stratigy where you drop an armory in the hive... place a huge minefield out where they spawn and near the armory. hand out a few shotties.... maybe a welder to repair armor... tons of mines, tech up to phasegates/armor 1 while your pwning their hive to ensure the win.

    and one just goes around to get all the res, then comes to help you

    Drop 1 armory at base, then drop nothing but shotguns and mines.

    you guys have never attempted MY shotty rush

    need an 8v8 server or higher

    Drop an armory and 5 shottys... 1ip

    Have 6 people get shottys (1lmg) and rush the hive..

    The last guy goes out to cap res....ur shotty rush SHOULD kill lots of skulks giving res for the capper...

    1st guy to respawn goes the opposite way of the capper AFTER making a tf so u can elec res...

    All in all, by the time the shotgunners die, if they are any good you should have 2-4 res electrified (like 1-3 min into game)

    It is sometimes wise to drop a med or 2 to keep the shotty guys alive but DONT medspam... If they DO get the hive great, but realize they are sposed to be keeping the aliens BUSY and getting you res for kills... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yes, IP rushs, if you don't know what they are I wouldn't tell you, don't need more comms with cheap ideas like that.

    Yes, I have seen a faster win. During 1.00->1.03 (it was fixed in 1.04), the hive used to start at half health and have to heal itself to full health, so one marine would bhop to the alien hive, get a phase up, and the rest of the marines would phase in and lmg the hive down.
