    No this is to discus the quotes from the other daily quote thread as part of the rules to that thread are your only alowed to post the quotes, if someone has a comment about one of those quotes it goes into this thread (as to not bog down the other)

    what is pain? it's really an opinion. your nerve endings are just sending impulses... your subconcious is making the assertion that it's unpleasant... that damn subconcious, making decisions for you.

    It's not making choices for you completely. You can alter your subconscious to take a feeling a different way, like how some people enjoy bondage, or create a deeper threshold for holding something hot.

    Granted, it's still going to injure your body, but you can dull/alter how it feels <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> . I'm still with the 'your nerve endings sending impulses based on stimuli that your brain interprets how your subconscious has been taught (through training or experience)' definition thing. I still don't see a point in the quote of the day/discussion of the quote of the day crap, though.
