a proposal
i know nothing about programming, and nothing about designing. but its a cool concept. But i would need a dev team.
Well, if you intend on a full game, good luck getting a license.
If it's just a mod, there's already Rival Species out there, but since you sound like you have absolutely no interest in putting any work into modding, i doubt your idea would go anywhere.
This has got me thinking, however. A Space Hulk mod would be infinately better than trying to cram the entire of WH40k into an FPS. The Space Hulk games rocked my box, and the slow, strategic and tense gameplay would be really fun. I guess it'd be like NS but without the building malarky, and more tactics required by default. But anyway, that's just an idea. Anyone want to form a mod team and do all the work for me? No? Didn't think so.
What exactly is WH40K?? I mean, is it a book or a movie or was it originally a game or what? If you don't want to give me the whole storyline just link meh.
esuna, I have a great idea. Let's start up a mod team for Space Hulk - you can be Project Lead, and I can be the PR guy, and we can release lots of Photoshopped screenshots and have a flashy website. It'll be grand, and we can just keep delaying the release until everyone forgets about us!
sorry to spil this but there have been several warhammer 40k games. Turn based strategy, First person shooter and soon RTS have all been done to my knowledge.
sorry again if this is irrelevant but your first post was a little....um..weak at description.

Oh, and a little advice silent_shadow900, I haven't yet met a programmer who would (in his spare time) agree to work on a project started by someon who has never programmed before and has no design experience.
my brother takes the units from warhammer chops them up and reassebles them together with additions its really excellent take a look. (requires patience some of the figures are about 1-2 inches tall)

Its not really like Risk. You don't have a set board to play on. You generally set up terrain (hills, forests and whatnot) on a table and go from there.
a game about warhammer? one of my buds is working on this, and he's pretty dang excited about it.

I just had to move a load of my models out of my garage - I did consider selling them but when I worked out the time spent painting them up and the money I would get back on them, I figured I may as well keep them.
I used to collect mainly chaos but had a large Imperial guard army. i liked playing warhammer also.
A space hulk film would be the scariest thing ever.. much better than any other the alien follow on films.
errr. i didnt mean what i said. i just thought a wh40k mod for half life would be cool, and i got all hyped up about it. what im meaning to say is: sombody should do it. it would be cool.
