    Dangit, beat me to it Renegade. Great PC RPG. I got it in a dual set with Shogo: Mobile Armor Division, another great game for $10. If you ever see them on the discount rack, pick them up cause they are well worth the cheap price.

    Soldat is definately up there, as mentioned previously. Its fun, addicting, full of blast-everything-in-sight gameplay, and its FREE! (I use that term loosely)

    I played the demo for that. Good fun. Mine would be Postal 2. You play as "The Postal Dude", your mission objectives are to run errands for your wife. How you go about it is up to you. For example, the first one is to get some milk. You can either a) go to the shop, buy it, move on, go home. b) Kill everyone on the way up, collect some cats to be used as silencers, run into the shop, get the milk, run upstairs, find lots of foriegn terrorists, jump out the window, go home. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    I don't mean to offened, but I have Postal 2, and the gameplay just blows. The civilians can take like 3 headshots.

    But it's good once in a while for a twisted laugh or two. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    erm... you actually shoot them?

    just get the can of gas... and then light them up... its much more fun...

    CIVILIZATION II?!?!?!? If that's an "Unkown Game" then the USA is some backwater country that makes it into the news once every fifteen years when the prince tries to acquire nuclear weapons.

    Kudos to Tequila for Giants : Citizen Kabuto. An awesome game if ever I played one.

    My personal addition would be... damn, I can't think of one that hasn't been said. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I see. Random similes. Marvellous. Permission not to grace with a witty retort. Thankyou. Oops.

    No problems recoup. Unfortunately, I can't get them to work very well under Win2k. I got Populous working well. Apoc was a fight that I thought I'd won, but then after 2 months in-game time, it has started crashing again. Perhaps, it's time to build a Win98 SE system. I'd love to go through Syndicate Wars again. Wasn't that the first isometric game ?

    Oh, and I missed Grim Fandango off the list. Just slipped my mind. Naughty me.

    I prefer to behead them with a shovel. Also, if you complete the game you get powerups. So far the only one I've found is that you can pee flames.

    my favorite game ever is still Ultima Underworld 2, followed by Ultima 7.5: Serpent Isle... the Ultima series isn't "unknown" but it is largely unplayed :>

    As for more modern games that aren't near impossible to get to run on today's systems, Uplink rules. A it's a hacker 'simulation'. Who knew a game with virtually no graphics could be so fun in this day and age?

    Or down. That works too.

    The game itself is quite funny. For example, if you go to a derelict house you will see graffiti for P.A.G. (Parents Against Graffiti). Or when you go to get a new alternator for your car. "Hi, I need an alternator for a 1986 Daf**ku." Then you go to take a present to your religious cult leader uncle. When you turn up you see tanks, soldiers, SWAT and police cars. "Whoa, Uncle Joe's having a party!"

    And when you finish the game you get some stats. "Cats violated with a weapon, doors kicked in, gallons of pee peed, dogs eliminated, cats destroyed..."

    It's different at least <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    For some reason almost nobody at all knows about the X series. In fact, before X2, I hadn't even heard of it. It's really good, although it is also really hard to get into.

    Also, my definition of "really new" is quite different from yours.

    More or Less, I wondered what happened to the 53rd Hammerheads. You were always stationed on the Aquitane and from there on it seemed like you had about 20 squads of fighter wings on the same destroyer....

    And yes, it IS the most amazing game ever. I worship it! Stop by the HLP and we have TONS of MODS for it, like graphics upgrades, new weapon effects, about 20 different campaigns, EVERYTHING!

    <a href='http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/forums/index.php?s=?cat=37' target='_blank'>http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/for...x.php?s=?cat=37</a>

    Anyways... back on topic. I forgot to mention Star Trek: Starfleet Command Volume II. EXCELLENT game right there...

    My Unknown Game vote goes to "Army Of Apocalypse". You see, it's an unknown game, because it hasn't been developed, or even planned yet...
