<div class="IPBDescription">Applies to all FPS games</div>Problem: When using headphones, I can only hear the sounds in front of my view. If somebody were to fire LMG's behind my head, I would not hear it. I would hear it though, if I were to turn around and face where the LMG is shooting. The same applies to the extreme left and right side. I don't know if it's just my headphones or sound card, but does anyone else have this problem?

I use headphones at night and 5.1 speakers during the day. I have to go into the soundcard driver and tell it every time I change over because if it is set to 5.1 and I use headphones then I only get the front sounds not the back ones that would go to the rear speakers.

Ohhh, so you can change it so you get front and rear sounds on headphones in the drivers? What settings need to be fiddled with for that to happen?\

EDIT: I just tested it out again, and it appears I'm totally deaf on the right side. Everything else is ok though, any more suggestions?

If I change the driver settings then the game or EAX or whatever just renders the game in stereo instead of surround. I think.

check in control panel that the sound setup is for stereo with just 2 output points (ie standard 2 speak setup / headphone setup)
