MotoGP is a fun game for live, the xbox controller (or any controller for that matter) makes shooting game (Mech Assault, R6, Ghost Recon) frustrating.

its not that hard to get used to like for halo the buttons just seem to be in the right place but for mech games it can be kinda hard

Yes. Its deffinetly worth it. If you are an xbox owner and have not gone live yet, its time too.

Many games coming out for xbox will be live enabled. I know alot of people who have it and have nver regretted it once.

Excellent. A few games I reccomend:

    1) Return to Castle Wolfestein: Tides of War - the online mulitplayer of this intense FPS is in a class by itself.
    2) Mechassault - usually you can get this game with your LIVE subscription. Trust me, it earned OXM's* 9.3/10

Wait your buying the best FPS ever on a console when the game pretty much flopped on consoles instead of being sensaable and buying the PC version that will have hundreds of mods skins etc out fairly fast?

But yeh my friends X box live seems ok.

Worth it for Project Gotham Racing 2 alone.

Buying Half-Life 2 for the XBOX is about as useful as buying Halo for the Atari 2600.

Xbox live is definitely worth it.

Don't buy into all the FPS hype, though. They still play better on PC's.

While his analogy is a tad extreme, you'd be a fool to get HL-2 for the Xbox if you have a perfectly capable PC. Otherwise, it's fair game.

It's a bankable assumption that any PC FPS will beat its console equivalent, due to more fluid controls and prettier graphics. Only an assumption. Half Life 2 on Xbox may have the best controls ever seen in any game. Its graphics may outshine, or at least level, the PC version. Not likely, but we don't know. Instantly slamming it as a worthless experience because it's on a console? Cretin.

Does he review products on Amazon before they're released, too?

Most likely. Read the HL-2 Amazon comments to be taken ino a fantasy world where nothing is as it seems.

I may be wrong, but I think the new Mortal Kombat game is gonna have X-Box Live support, which is pretty cool to get to play all new peoples.

If you're a big sports fan a lot of those games have Live support now too.

You'll need a wireless router hooked up to your broadband line, and a wireless adapter for your XBOX. Microsoft makes both of those, so if you don't have them you can probably stop in someplace and pick them up. I wouldn't really recommend the Microsoft brand router, but the adapter is pretty much only available from them. Unfortunately, it'll be rather pricey. I don't recall what it was offhand, but I'm thinking somewhere in the $40-$50 department at least. I can check tomorrow.

Athough i dont even own and Xbox, id say its worth it. Im over my freinds house alot and he has it, along with pandora tommorow, rainbow six3 etc...its loads of fun and i think its only 50$ a year.

I would wait until Halo 2 actually comes out (or maybe a month or two before it, so you can still play Pandora Tomorrow and Rainbow Six 3 with people. Ghost Recon is still pretty good on Live too.

    Sports game sare nice too.

Overall, not really worth the $50 for me, since at school the firewall manages to give me a craptastic ping, and at home, I can play my PC games online . Although, once Halo 2 comes around, then it might be worth it.

Hopefiully the dorms are upgraded to something that doesn't suck by then...
