yep... first post = n00b post... nooo flaming required, i know this <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

what i got here:
linux => winex (fake windows) => steam (working, other mods working) => install beta3 => access violation, namly this:

<i>Access Violation at address 0040C54A. Write of address 0040000</i>

umpf... somebody produced a wild pointer there? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

it happens directly after launching the installer. perhaps you see what's going on there.

(btw... i've seen the installer topic but this one is about a full windows which really can't be the trick at all <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

EDIT: ah yeah... neraly forgot this... why can't you provide an archive for installing this one? i know people like fancy windoof installers but they tend to give troubles (had lots of troubles with the beta2 installer under old windows back then)
