I need a new sound card to replace my A7N8X-X's onboard since I get garbled sound now in some of the games I play(namely NS). I was thinking about getting this one...

    Upon seeing how the card you linked looks, it seems that it's a software card...

    I'd go with the Santa Cruz route, people love those things.

    creative drivers arn't that great but i have found the kX project drivers to be well made, i like my card, its cheap puts out great sound on my system etc.

    and remember to disable the onboard soundcard before doing anything with the new one..

    I have a similar problem with the same MoBo, but only sparatically. generally restarting the game will fix it. again check to make sure you have the latest drivers(i havent yet) and contact the vendor before dishing out cash.
