I second and third and.. you get the idea.
the 2nd pic is awesome, especially the railing. i don't know about using the same texture on the floor and the ceiling.
great job, i look forward to seeing more!
The architecture is really good as well, something a bit different going on there, nice job.
Youve really adopted a gothic -like feel.
Looking scary <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Sounds like Nicrosoft Exchange ... <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->
What really grabbed my attention were those railings you used in the first and second shot. The other difference was that you're using the Grey set from ns2.wad, which I haven't seen fully utilized before.
maybe add some distinctive features that sets the map apart. broken walls, exposed electrical wires, maybe some custom montior panels. add some more stuff that develops the 'theme'. general lighting is good - nice contrasts/spotlights, but add some more variation like small red or blue highlights. the new textures are basically 'grey' so lighting is more important. skulk wallwalking shouldnt be too bad - places to hide in the ceiling is always fun. i know you will have nice z-axis since thats part of your style.
keep goin'
What I do think you could do to dramatically enhance the atmosphere of the map is to make it look more "lived in". In those shots I don't really see much that a human could have interacted with prior to the infestation. Since I don't know the intended functionality for the rooms I can't really make suggestions, but think about why the crew would want to be in any given room and what they would need to be able to do there. At the moment there isn't much evidence that it is even a human constructed ship.
Keep up the good work.
Btw it reminds me of ns_caged <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
