Thats an attack that you really need Silence for, considering if you are making an attempt on a large group of marines, they will shoot you before you can detonate when they hear the scream.
I know that in beta 3 and earlier, if u leap immediately after hitting xeno, it will cancel the xeno sound and play only a leap sound. I not sure 'bout beta 4 tho, I'm ussually a lerk anyway and haven't really played much beta 4. (i'm grounded from PC games during the week.
would make sense, but i imagine it's more of a balance issue;
xenocide is extremely powerful... especially if there is any degree of team work and more than one skulk does it into the same group of marines one just after another... if it was a silenced attack aswell, would essentially turn skulks into proimity mines - you hear a marine (or group of marines) come near, start the timer, boom, blow them up - there is absolutely nothing they can do if they not got MT
I don't know, if you're willing to pay 2 res for suicide that's fine by me... make it silenced, but add in player animations (if possible) so marines might possibly notice it.

If this is combat, be happy the skulk spent 4 points on xeno and silence rather than being a focus fade, and is also using an attack that puts it in the spawn queue every time (especially with the current spawn system).

personally I haven't tested it, but I'm too busy with other, more entertaining stuff to play NS. I'm almost certain scream still goes during b3, but never touched some of the earlier betas...
:o, maybe its to prevent massive killing, but i think its a bug, xenocide shouldnt be heard with silence. But can u realize how annying would be an skulk with silence and cloaking in co xenociding inside marine base for the marines. It would be really annoying i think,
