Good microphone for ns

Heres my dilema, I have a really nice pair of headphones(only 30 dollars but their very nice, AIWA HP-X222) and these giant clunkers pretty much cover my ears completely. So...what do I do for a microphone? I could do a stationary microphone, but that doesn't seem like a nice solution. Assuming I had a cheap microphone headset, is there a good way to set it up so I can use the nice clunky headset AND a mic?

could always rip the mic off the headset, and glue/tape it to the nice set...  problem is, that maybe you dont want to glue anythin to your nice headset, in which case, you may be better off buying a stationary mic, like one you can velcro to your monitor or rest on your desk...  Labtek and Platronics make some good desk mics.

However, I myself use Koss R/50B headsets ($50 when I bought them years ago), I prefer a high quality mic headset than using a pair of headphones and an indipendant mic.  It all depends on if you would rather have something pointing at you on your desk, or on the side of your face recording your voice.

huh, after fooling around with a cheap mic set, I made it its smallest size, adjusted in on my neck and had the microphone coming UP to my mouth. Works relatively well, and for the first time I spoke to my fellow cs players. Its damn weird talking in a game...

You get used to to. Make sure your comm key is bound to something easy and intuitive. I've got mine on mouse 3.
