<div class="IPBDescription">this idea came recently in a co game..</div> About four months ago I was (as usual) playing around in combat upgrading hand granades, mines, etc. When I went to place a mine on a wall in co_daimos I thought "These mines sure would look better on walls if their feet where in a trangular patern" (my mind is wierd like that). So i thought of making myself a personal 3 footed model... but I have absolutley no modeling skill.<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> then, today I was browsing around the forums looking at concepts when it hit me! get someone to model it for me. so... after re-registering my account I drew up my concept and am puting it up here for scrutiny (<span style='color:red'>constructive</span>). <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This model would be very similar to the original except for the fact that certain parts of the mine will be rotated and two of the legs deleted and one added back. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

(img attached) (and its kind of a quick draw up!)

Heh. I tried photoshoping it but its a pain trying to get everything how you like it in PS. This is actually the second drawing, the first had the little data display on the left side. (graph paper owns)

yeah graph paper does own lol all mine are on graph paper. I think that it'd be a great model, someone should try it!

Other than it giving absolutely no depth perception (the drawing that is), I like it. It is quite, as you said, snazzy. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

To be honest, to me, it just looks like the default NS mine, but with 3 legs. Same shapes all over...

uhh, it needs depth for a concept? i prefer orthographic when im modeling..

i like the concept, although, it may be a bit plain. go crazy! add something to it! (maybe the skinner could haev a stop sign except in where stop is theres a skulk pic ;p).

Well, i kind of planned it to be almost identical to the original, i just wanted 3 legs instead of two. I like sticked to skins near the defaults.. except with a little twist. Sorry for the lack of depth... I can barely do two dimensional let alone 3 dimensional art. I was planning on doing multiple views (e.g X axis, Y axis, Z axis, top, side, etc. but it is very time consuming. Who ever skins it can create the depth, I just want a 3 legged mine! Oh... and here is a aimple update to the first... I just added an N to the mine code (3585) and a vibration sensor (the ecg looking thing)

Well, i scanned the image into my computer and loaded it into photoshop. Then proceeded to make it a digitally enhanced image (color etc.) but it proved too much of a hassel. this way i just scan it in and reduce the size. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Anyone willing to turn this into a 3d image? since my graph paper is the ugliness?

p.s. as soon as i get my new computer i will probably start teaching myself how to model... so name off some cheap and effecient programs please! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
