I just got back from playing my first game of NS (I'm new here by the way.. hi everyone) and I hope this is the right place to say this but.. wooow. Huge, huge, huge kudos to the developers. Best HL mod I've ever played, and the game I played tonight ranks as one of my best online experiences ever. I was commanding a team of great marines, and we acheived victory. It was an incredible feeling when my battle plan worked (thanks to the great efforts of my men on the ground) and their last hive fell down.

I'm still hyper from my experience..

anyone else have a similar experience tonight?

I've been here for more than a year and I have to say it was completely worth the wait! Absolutely fantastic!

Now I just need some practice. There's some wild stuff going on in there!

Yeah, as soon as the lag and some of the minor bugs (such as the command menus sticking to the screen) are sorted, this mod is going places. I've been roughly following its development since I first heard of it last year, but I'm really really impressed with the finished product.

Not just the mod itself, but the backstory, videos, etc.. that takes alot of effort, and isnt essential, but all the more credit to the team for doing it.

as the mod looked great and balanced it was horrible to play in the public servers. First we had enormous lag which made especially commanding horrible. Some minor bugs in the maps(couldn't get a vent cause it was placed so). Other thing was that this mod would really need somekind of balancing system. I mean 10marines vs 5 aliens was pretty darn nasty.

Oh sorry, now Im just complaining all the time, awesome work <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> Gotta go get some practise now.

I think its ok to complain sometimes because it also gives the mod makers feedback. I mean I think they know the problems by now and once those are fixed (i'd give them 2 more releases to get it right) then u'v got urself the best HL mod ever and it will stay that way. I mean the idea for the mod was thought out well and I'm just sooo amazed to see the HL system do so many amazing things that are portrayed in this mod.
