But turned out to be better on its own.
I love a course that lets you involve something like NS in your work. This was initially meant to be some ambient ready room music, but turned out a bit complicated for it.

(thanks to sK | Edison_TrenT for hosting temporarily.)
Here is the brief I set myself:
1. Explosive intro - game starts
2. Alien infested areas - murky machinery sounds, in-game samples of aliens running around and brooding
3. Pan upstairs - marines have arrived, start setting up camp, militant riff starts playing
4. Early conflicts between sides - in-game battle sounds, militant riff backed up by more instruments, heavier arrangement
5. Full-scale war across whole structure - more alien lifeforms appear, marines use heavier weapons, music gets more intense
6. Marines start to push back the infestation - battle sounds fade out, tune becomes lighter, less heavy arrangement
7. Conflict is over - floating chords, small happy tune, euphoria at being the dominant species
8. Game over, new game starts - faster build-up to new cycle, marines are off to fight off another alien infestation.
Any comments/critique? If you would like to use it in a map, by all means go ahead... just let me know.
Cheers

Regarding video, long time no seeing a good one.
Vas.
Very good!

I hadn't thought about a video. If there was, it would probably be better to have in-game footage and redub the sounds over the music... and if anyone does make a promo video, I'd be more than happy to rejig the arrangement accordingly.
Actually, I'd also be happy to rejig the arrangement to make it more atmospheric and more fitting as actual ready room music or whatever - if you have a question or request ask and I'll probably say 'yes'.
i smell an NS video coming...
