Big Prob!, Game Won't Run

<div class="IPBDescription">Runtime Error! with hl.exe</div> Its all fine until i join a server, it goes all the way, even loads the level, but it instantly stops at that point, and comes up with a Runtime Error! with hl.exe, reet pain in the ****....

i've reinstalled everything, Ns, steam and Half life, and my other mods work
has anyone else had this prob?
please help?

i have that problem sometimes....but i turn on HL again, and it doesn't happen again for a while...

have you ever installed half life into steam? or did you just add a half life directory.

What is your RAM? This can happen if you run out of memory.

Ah, Memory may be the answer, i have 256 Mb of Ram, and a lowly 32 Mb geforce,
i'll experiment a little

ok, i lowered the res to 800*600, and it almost seemed to work, but then quit back to wondows
so i lowered it to 640*480, and got the error again <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />
any futher ideas?

very wierd, i bet its one of them problems that randomly decides to fix itself
