<div class="IPBDescription">Beta 3 v4a</div> Whenever I connect to a server, it tells me my map differs from that of the server. I am connecting to Beta 4a servers, and have installed both patches. I tried deleting a map, then downloading it from the server, which then worked....but this takes FOREVER, and I'm looking for a quick answer. Thanks.

search your computer for nsp, if you have 2 folders then you messed up.
amusingly, I just got around to installing 4a yesterday, and my guess is:
The installer has a slight problem with it. It tries to install to steamapps\half-life\half-life\nsp. So instead of pointing it at steamapps\half-life, point it at steamapps
I tryed to un-install and re-install.. still says it differ's.
And if I delete the map.. it does take too long.. over 20 minutes to download it.
Does anyone know an accurate way to fix this? It's annoying me.
Only map I can play is co_faceoff --; all others say differ.

did you do this?
Thats where i currently have NS installed.
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[e-mail]\half-life
First i copied Steam and installed CS, which therefore installs HL. Then i download v3.0 beta 1, and upgrade to v3.0 beta 2, then to v3.0 beta 4a. And i can only play on one map the others dont match the server.
2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam
3) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a
Search your HDD for a folder called nsp.
if you have more than one you messed up. try again.
if you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.
