Gamma Problems

Is there anyway to disable the way the game boosts your gamma? For some reason, whenever it does this, my gamma has a huge drop and it's harder to see.

Increasing my gamma outside of the game helps solve the gamma problem untill I click back into the game in which it resets again.

I think it's the way that the game improves your gamma is making the problems occur. The gamma is normal when I get into the main menu but when I attempt to join a game and the gamma boost occurs is when my gamma drops.

I'm running an Intel graphics card and have updated my drivers with no positive feedback.

I don't know how I did it but a long time ago back during the closed 3.0 beta I somehow got it to fix but then a new patch was released and it began to reset again.

I've checked the rest of the topics that talk about gamma issues but the solutions that people have posted hasn't helped me.

If you guys need to know any more info then just ask for them (i.e. specific card name, settings)

Once I get around to it, i'll post a picture (screenshots don't work somehow, maybe this is something with my monitor) of the before and after.

    SysSpecs.

    Things to try:
    1) Run Gamma Tweak (Iif you have a pre beta install of NS anywhere it will be in your NS folder)
    2) Make sure you run in OGL mode (If you already are, try D3D, it might do something, probably not)

I did try gamma tweak and it didn't do anything. This happens in D3D and OpenGL but I haven't tried it on Software (although I think the result will be the same)

I can tell that it is definatly an issue with the gamma boosting that occurs in NS because if does not happen in CS, DoD or any other mods that don't have the gamma change.

If someone could just tell me how to stop the change then that is all I need.

If it's hardcoded in then I hope that Flayra makes it an option to boost gamma because this game is just wasting space. It's not that it's a little more difficult to play, it's that every single dark space becomes pitch black and it's literally impossible to play with every corner/hallway black.

It is hardcoded in b/c if you could remove it the explotation factor would be horrible. Combine that with destroying the atmosphear of the game... nope.

you could also just saerch the forum as there are a bout 500 threads on this.

How could disabling a boost of gamma be exploited? You would think it would hinder someone's performance.

And having the game darker would improve the atmosphere actually.

Mine is so dark that it's impossible to play so I HAVE to have it lighter.
