A game where you spend the entire time learning about fictional girls, their likes and dislikes and managing a dating schedule and all that crap, doing lots of reading of the same lines over and over.. AND NO EROTIC SCENES. No thanks.
To me, that's a complete waste of time. Non-H dating sims? That's messed up man, don't even JOKE about that. I mean, I like my H-games as much as the next guy (or perhaps more so), but if you take out the doin' it, all you're left with is a long boring and redundant game, and even worse, a game that teases you, and I can go other places and be teased, and it usually takes less time out of my day than any dating sim.
And another thing, if you took the sex out you would lose one of the main points of amusement of the game, which is always the sound affects. In games where everything is mostly text based, they have to use anomanapeias like crazy, and they usually end up being hilarious, even outside the sex scenes. For example, you would be suprised how many varioations on your basic "slurp" sound there are, and I remember in one particular game to represent some guy cleaning a bath it simply displayed the word "goshi" over and over again for like a page. For some reason I find this stuff funny, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
