Can't Use Mouse In Spectator...

<div class="IPBDescription">Read title...</div> When I try to go into Spectator to just fly around the map, I cannot use my mouse because a bar is at the bottom of the screen. It has a Checkbox for Firstperson and the it has the Menu Bar to change the camera view/person. How do I get it so that bar is not their and I can just casually fly thru the map?

    Freelook spectation was removed due to certain abuse complaints. At this point only third-person (locked), first-person, and Overview spectation is available.

    That doesn't really make sense. You think the server could atleast control it like sv_forcechasecam with Counter-Strike. Thanks anyway.

    The current spectation modes are a serious problem when there are no valid targets to spectate. Like when, for example, the entire marine team is dead but for the comm. You'll be stuck spectating a dead corpse. What fun!

    There needs to be a backup... If there are no valid spectator targets, allow free look until such time that there ARE.

    it would make sense to have it on pubs you can free look if there is no one to chase-camm, but in tournymode just fade to black

    spec_mode 3 in console if you really want to free look (only works as a spectator or with HLTV)

    I think thats stupid, how should freelook be abused???

    I wanted to make a nice ns video, but it looks boring without some special camera-movement.

    The problem is that Voice com and chat are not shut off when you die.

    Combine that with the fact that you will respawn...
    It could be horribly abused in pubs.


    And romano told you how to do it if you want it.

    I suppose it would make it easier for someone to camp around MS and relay activity to another alien player. (Via 3rd party voice comm etc.)

    Use your imagination. Telling players who is at double res. Watching hive spots. etc.

    We're not ignoring him. Why should it be a console command to go to free look and not just built in like it was?

    And BlueNovember, you could tell where everyone was via 3rd party program anyways in spectator considering you can scroll through everyone so it can't be exploited anymore than it is now.
