Marine starts building a turret factory.. i use the "Chukle" voice command. Marine freaks and starts scanning the doors... I wait.. Marine continues building... i say "need backup" in Alien.. Marine starts shootin up the place, randomly into all corners but mine... i chucle again, then i tear his head off while he's reloading...

Sweetest moment in a Game... Ever...

Hehe. I managed something very similar. I did what the manual suggested. I was a Fade with cloak, silence and carapace. I had just boarded a lift when i heard the tell tale clank of marine boots, so I waited and cloaked up. Up goes the lift and on comes the marine, his juicy back turned to me. As the lift decends I let out a chuckle and he heads to the corner of the lift just opposite mine, going into a crouch. When the lift hits bottom he begins spraying the walls with LMG fire and calling for backup. He turns to face me as he reloads. I can't resist so I chuckle once more and leap at him. To his credit he managed to get maybe half a magazine into me before I tore him to pieces. <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

was a marine on bast, and we'd just cleared out a hive and comm had started put in turrets when i hear a chuckle and a scuttle of feet, i nearly wet meself i was firin all over the place, then some backup arrives and starts helpin buildin the turrets, so i decide to look around and i found the little bugger hidin in a dark corner,

this game is v good at bein v scary, only other game thatgot me this scared was aliens vs predator,

Best moment for me so far was when me and 3 other of my clan members where in a room getting leved up as onos. One of our team member was getting shot at and asking for back up. We told him to run into the dark room that we were in. we moved into a blind spot and our little guy ran in almost dead. We were a little slow and the marine finished him of in the room. Whel that guy turned around all cocky and say wat you think he would see. He call for back up and started shooting his LMG at us. Dead and the commander is sending new troops in to help but they all dont make it out.

now the last 2 are fun, i stood outside marine base (cant remember the map) waiting for the door to open, fully cloaked, then a heavy dude with a hmg comes out... uh yeah i think so i pull out the paralyze strings, WACK he just go AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARgh and rambostyle shoots at me, 2 seconds later hes down and i chuckle.... and he was all on WERE DID HE COME FROM AND OMG CHEATER!!! <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> LOL.... i think he was fairly new... it WAS so fun <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

LOL, I gotta try that chuckle thing! Anyways, on a level i dont remember name too, I was a Fade with cloak and hoped into this rotation room (like a pie) that rotates to another room.
So anyways, I hoped in stood in the corner and waited. But to my enjoyment, there was a marine! He looked cautiously in it wondering why it moved, then just hoped it. WHAT LUCK!!! So instead of attacking right away, I waited till it was sealed, when the room was half-way rotated. Then I struck with his back to me. OMG IT WAS SO DAMN AWESOME, he couldnt aim straight from fear.

my best moment ever and one of my most successfull attacks...heres the story:

ok so I was a skulk all alone...unfortunately my team didn't communicate very well and I descided to just screw it and run of for some lone hunting seing if I could get thru some weak spots in the marine defense(which of course consisted of turret spam galore) and wreck some havoc....anyways I get all the way to the marine base(sorry don't remember the map name...it's the one where the comm. is pretty safely placed and you need a lift to get up in to his little control room) anyways lucky for me they hadn't scatered the turrets too much and there were none in the hall way leading into their base...so I could get a clear view at the comm. without getting all shot up...after alittle considering on tactics and beefing up my courage I descided to go for it...and used the skulk's leap ability to leap all the way thru their base up thru the window into teh comm. room only getting hit a little buy crazy turret fire(but lucky enough I had regeneration+ cloak + adrenalin) so while tearing the comm. apart I was regaining my health....anyways aparently their comm. didn't realise what was happenign so I trashed their only comm.center and kill the commander....so now I'm stuck in this room...and by cloaking and shifting place all the time I managed to kill the comm. 3 times and another marine one time when they came looking for me....that was pretty cool!

at last I figured that I would surely die if I stayed there(running out of hiding places in that little room and the marines started spraying the walls) but unfortunately as I figured getting out was even harder and I got shot to pieces by the marine I just killed....end of story...but boy did I feel good after that...although we lost the game even with the marines having no commander...probably because of the lack of communication and team work the alien were doing

I remember the scariest moment was in eclipse, i went thru the door closest to respawn and walked down the ramp, opened a door and heard these enourmouus footsteps only to turn around to see a HUGE BULL thing! I just started screaming HOLY $%#$ ^$%^$% ^$%^%$^$^%^$ %$%^$%^$%^$%^ and ran other way only to have him ram me.

Most of the time as an alien I die. But here's one fun story:

On Bast, I was a lerk. We actually managed to get 3 hives, so I had Spore Cloud. I went into the underground passageway into the Atmosphere Processing room to check it out. I saw lots of marine things there, so I backed off the catwalk to see 4 marines trudging through a tight passageway straight towards me. Thinking quickly, I released Umbra. One foolish marine rushed towards me, and I bit him to death. In control of the situation due to Umbra, I released a spore cloud. I must have moved out of the Umbra because I started getting shot up. I thought I died, but it turned out I got redeemed. Sitting in the hive, I all of a sudden saw the death messages racking up. Boy, that was great. I didn't even die. Sporecloud in confined areas = win.

On Tanith, we'd just lost the waste management hive and the marines were camping a little tower in that room.. there were three of them. I walked in as a fade and climbed on top of a barrel just below the tower, and cloaked. There were two heavies and a light marine up there. The light marine was standing above me in the tower, scanning. He said "all clear" and turned around - I jumped, and blinked. I would have loved to see the looks of the faces of the two heavies. Behind this little light guy suddenly appears a fade, and I proceed to disembowl him. One heavy falls down the ladder and dies, and I manage to kill the other just by confusing him by blinking everywhere.

I have my own experience =D on nothing near the power silo hive on the bridge next to the elevator, we had some offensive towers and a defensive one, i was a skulk with cloack and carapace, i hear some footsteps and the nice observatory chamber warning of enemy forces aproaching, so i place myself attached to the ceiling just infront of the elev, and i see a marine crouched shooting at the offense chamber, so i get on the elev, and cloack again i hear the need backup and after 10 secs 4 marines get on the elev, i was like yummy yummy, then the elev goes down and all the marines are shooting at the offensive so i just chomp their ##### up until they all die, and 5 secs after i watch all the guys saying wtf naaa he came from behind, then they argued with the commander coz he never told them and other stuff, it was nice <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>.
I have another one, but this time, /meh suffered, i was on bast, and entered the rotating thing (teh pie you guys mentioned) when it stops rotating i went out and i didnt noticed some webs lying on the floor, after im webbed 3 skulks decloack and rape meh´s ### before i can even get my lmg back

i started off as a lerk no upgrades rushed to the pipes in their base (ive done this tactic twice)
this is the map where they have a pipe right in their base.
well i go in the pipe as a lerk then when their i evolve into a gorge. we have 3 hives so i do adrenalin and regen. then i start shooting the babblers nonstop into their base they finally see where the attack is coming from, but they cant hit me as i cant be seen. they start lobbing grenades up there every 15 greades or so i take about 20 dmg but regen it all before aother one can go up again. so all my babblers keep killing their base and them. i have a look down in their base its all trashed so i tell me team to bring in as many onos as possible and we completly obliterate the base <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I guess I have two favorite moments. Both of them were last stand situations.

One, I was a onos by myself and since the marines outnumbered us 2 to 1 I was the only thing between the marine and alien base on my side. 3 hvy armor my hmgs and one no armor guy all ran right into my hallway while I was cloaked...well they all got killed in one charge *ROAR*.

Second, and my true favorite was when i had to guard one of our hives by myself from 2 marines as a gorge. I only had one ofensive tower up (the hive just finished building and i was needed eleswhere previously) but I did have tons of webs. Both marines ran into the webs and I through out tons of babblers as the offensive tower destroyed them. Go babblers, they're like rabid dogs ripping away at a trapped animal.

We just got 3 hives and I started evolving into an ohno in a dark section of a hall. Fortunately, I had cloaking because a while later, while still evolving, a marine came walking down towards me. He kept bumping into this "invisible barrier" and wasn't sure what to make of it. I kept praying he wouldnt realize it was me (cloaked) until I evolved. Fortunately, a moment later I was finished and I decloaked right in his face and trampled him to death <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

yup cloaked suprise attacks is always fun with onos....did something similar also....had a cloaked onos right on the otehr side of a door that leads into a little room with yet another door....first the door opened and I was ready to charge right into the marine's face...but I found out that instead of a single marine 3 marines with heavy armor enetered the room so I descided that it was best to take them from the rear...luvky enogh they didn't seem to bump into me and the one who did apparenlty didn't think further about the invisible barrier...well when they got into the room and the door closed behind them...just before they reached the other door I trembled them all to death <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tiny.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::onos::'> <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'> <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'> <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'> *squeeze squazh crunch*(the onos should be facing the other way)

My best moment was when I was a Skulk, without any upgrades.

We were just outside our hive and in come 2 marines, heavy armor and probably HMGs, 1 gets killed by my pal but that last one kills my pal. Too bad for that sucker, I was still alive, so he fires everything he got on me, while I was going around the room like crazy, grabbing walls and ceiling where I could, falling down from them etc. Untill you hear the nice *click* sound...he ran outta ammo, my turn. He saw me coming straight at him and he turned around ran like hell and I was only looking at the back of his feet, then I unleashed my biting-fury on him. I could sense the fear of that guy, knowing he was screwed <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Also one time I was just walking around as a Skulk, looking for something to do, when all of a sudden I got a notice that lifeforms were under attack, I saw it was just around the corner...So this group of marines were ambushing some buddys of mine, and now because of me they were sandwiched, and the surprise killed them all, cuz they didnt know where the hell I came from.

I spawned as a marine, walked around for a couple of minutes and then saw a Lerk flying through the air. When he saw me he flew away and I thought: "U r mine, sucker!" I followed him around the corner, entering the room he went in. He was trapped and I began to fire with everything I had at him until I had nothing but my knife. As I wanted to tell the commander that I needed more ammo I heard something chuckle. With a bad feeling I turned around, only to see that two fades blocked the only exit out of the room. "Oh ####!" I thought, knowing that I was screwed. I was a skulk fighting some guy with a jetpack. He was firing at me, but it was very dark where I was and I was moving; so he didn't kill me. He kept on zooming around with his jetpack until he managed to jetpack into a corner in the ceiling. Stuck. Can the chuckle sound only be done manually? I hope so, that adds more effect. The only reason I ask is that I thought I heard myself chuckle without doing the command. I thought maybe it automatically does it.

my best moment had to be when i was cloaked as a skulk clinging above a doorway, as soon as i got cloaked a marine walked through so i did a little chuckle, the marine quickly spun around and started looking for something, he walked in and out of the doorway a couple times, i could tell he was nervous, then he stopped right under me and looked around a little and probly decided there was nothing there and started to go on his way, as soon as he started walking i hopped off the wall right in front of him and took him out, a few seconds later i see him say in chat "AHHH MY HEART!!!!", i just about fell on the floor laughing, it was the coolest thing ever

Here's a best moment......as a marine. Bet you didn't see that one coming, huh?

Anyway here it goes. Two of my teamies were picking up some heavy armor when I was asking the commander for a shotgun and a jetpack. The two players headed out while I was waiting. Right after I got my shotty and jetpack and started out of the base following my teammates, I see that both of them died, one to a Fade's claws and the other to an acid rocket. I figure that they must've been webbed because two marines even in light armor and with LMG's could take out one fade.

I was thankful that I picked up a welder lying around on the floor. The marines died in a long corridor with little outcroppings on the sides and terminating in a large room with a high ceiling. As I turned the corner, into the corridor I see the claws from TWO fades just disappear. I thought to myself "Ah, they cloaked and ambushed my buddies. Well I'm not going to fall for that." I walked a little into the corridor and then radioed "All clear" so the Fades wouldn't know I saw them. Then I jumped up and jetpacked along the ceiling at high speed and right as I passed the Fades I shot one pointblank. I killed him in one shot so I must've hit the head or he was injured. Either way I probably scared the crap out of them.

My momentum carried me into the room and I turned around to see a Fade AND a Lerk uncloak. The Fade stood in the doorway lobbing acid rockets while the Lerk used umbra and tried to spike me. The Lerk and I flew around the room trying to blast each other, my aim was pretty good but the umbra minimized the damage. The Lerk landed periodically to regain his energy and when he did this the second time, I fell down and dropped him with a shotgun blast. By this time, I was pretty hurt with little armor left because although I have mad jetpack dodging skills, some spikes and acid rockets hit me. After the lerk fell to the ground with a shriek, I turned to the doorway to finish off the Fade. To my surprise, it was no longer in the doorway.

Just then I heard footsteps behind me and an alien growl. I leaped into the air, hitting my jets as hard as possible while I turned around. The Fade had blinked behind me and was just about to cut me into sushi but just missed due to my quick reflexes. I hovered near the ceiling beyond the reach of his claws while he switched to acid rocket just giving me enough time to shoot him twice and kill him.

Afterwards, I realized my heart was racing and I was starting to sweat. Man, that was a rush and fun as hell.

The best moment by far I've experienced:

The setting: I was at my friend's house for his birthday party, there were tons of people there, firends and family. I had been pimping Natural Selection for the last day or so, and a few of them were pretty interested. So I hopped on my friends computer, downloaded NS for him, and after ironing out some mis-communications, fired up a game of NS.

It was on ns_hera, and I was Marine. This was pretty much the first time I had ever played the marines(due to the teams always needing another alien, not that I'm complaining:D) so I was quite happy to do so. In the base I asked the commander to send a torch or two my way, and he kindly obliged. Giddy with my new toy in hand, i went searching for something to weld. My search brought me to the Hera receptions spot, with the lobby and two stairways. I went down the left and found what I was searching for for, a button on the wall with a little welding symbol on it. I went to work right away, not having a clue what it would do. At about the half-way mark, I heard LMG fire on the other side of the door. I was now rushing to get done with the antogonizing slowness of the welding. The fire had stopped and I saw a kill sign in the corner of my HUD tha stood out in the myriad of kill icons: a light machine gun. I was relieved, but I still had to get through that door. Fumbling around for a button(I didn't know I had welded the thing shut.) I tried to open the door. I tried the button, and the door opened. I'm thinking to myself: "I could've sworn I had already tried that button..." when I notice that the feet under the slowly opening doorway were not human boots... There were two of them, then another two behind. An Onos. I ran back into the corner and crouched down, and the door opened to a deathly picture: One Onos with a skulk on either side. They just sat there. Staring at me. Then...
RRRAAAAAAAWWWWWRRRRR!!!

The Onos is charging at me and the skulks both leaped at my face. I dodged one skulk and took some shots at the other, but the Onos still held my attention, I ducked out of the way but the beast didn't give up. The next thing I heard was a gory splat as I was seperated from the living. Everybody in the room watching me was pent up and let out whoops and hollers and at that moment were sold on how great NS was. I respawned and we soon lost, and I decided it was time for somebody else to play.
