The skill of killing three skulks is about avoiding them and concentrating on the skulk closest to you.. or the one you feel will get to you quicker.
It is hard to do! you need maximum concentration to kill anymore than 2 skulks when your on your own with lmg+pistol, this is the main type of fighting.
My feeling is that if a skulk is at your knees taking bites then your already in lots of troulble.. so actually I'd rather have the weapon damage upgrade, and kill them sooner, before they got chance to focus bite.

The other day, I joined the Marines because I wanted to test the LMG and Pistol against as many skulks as possible with 10 armor. I could kill 3 skulks. They're very difficult to shoot, they're always jumping here and {wall climbing} there. I tried my best to aim and the crazy thing is, when I killed all the skulks, the players said to me "Wow, what a freaking marine." The next time they came around, they had upgraded focus. This time, I could only kill 1 skulk. So i think if we use marines, we should upgrade the armor to level 3 and upgrade {catalysts?} because it boosts the speed of marines and grants 20% faster firing rate.
And when I play a co_ map. The skulk players always spawn kill to level up. I can tell you that I use the knife and pistol effectively to kill two skulks. Try this!
L3 Skulk Bite does 150 damage.
100/85 LA marine gets bitten once.
LA marine is now 55/12. He receives a medpack and is now 100/12, allowing him to take 124 damage.
150 damage skulk bite chomps him again for insta-death.

Requires: Ammo Support (Comm/Resupply/Armory)
Vulnerability: Structure/Teammate blocking
Max Targets: 25
In Summary: The ultimate skulk killing weapon is the Heavy Machinegun. Shotguns work if you have good Twitch aim. Light Machineguns and Pistols aren't as great for skulk killing, but they are workable if you have really really good aim in general.
Explanation of Aiming:
Twitch aiming is where your brain instantly aims at a target for you, based on some cue. In other words, it's just a reaction. It can easily look like an aimbot sometimes, since an audio cue can cause you to do a 180 spin and blast a skulk behind you, before you are aware of it. This type of aiming is learned through constant amounts of practice, and it seems to be easy and natural to pick up, so the shotgun can seem overpowered in the hands of decent players.
Target Tracking aim would be the process of keeping your crosshair on a moving target regardless of direction changes. This is very difficult to do, mainly do to the inherit delay present in the human nerve cells. The brain can properly predict ahead of time and adjust accordingly, but only for predictable actions. When a target changes direction unpredictably, the brain cannot properly adjust, and you "overshoot" your target. This is not as much of an issue with Twitch aiming, since the chances of the target unpredictably changing direction at that instant is very small.
Aim prediction in general is more mysterious to players who have never had to play on older games where there was no server-side prediction of player's shots. Players had to aim ahead of their targets on their end to compensate for latency, which was much higher do to the larger presence of dialup connections. While Twitch aiming was possible, Target Tracking aiming never had a chance of working.

He is 55/12 only with lv 2 armor, not lv. 3. The rine survives with 55/32, and at 100/32 the rine can withstand 164 damage. As you said, A focus skulk bite will deal 150, enableing the rine to survive the second bite.

This should get floated to the top, seriously. This should be it's own thread to explain "leet" marine players. Yeah some people really are that good and you should at least strive to be like them.
by the time you need to switch weapons the damn skulk is so close knife is the best choice. Instant 30 dmg
