A few weeks ago, a marine of mine was assulting the hive, trying to distract them. I figured I would give him meds to help him along, but dropped 5 arms labs into the hive instead <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />.

I have this nasty habit of forgetting to check the health of my chair... annd watching as one skulk comes in and gets the last bite on it after a long drawn out game where we have come back and are assaulting the last hive while one skulk finishes the chair slowly overtime...

Usually resulting in our eventual loss...

One time on ns_bast during 2.0 i think it was, I get a call for a medpack. Turns out a fade was attacking a lone marine (stupid marine). I hotkey to drop a medpack but select the observatory by mistake and drop it on the blinking fade <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' />
Needless to say, i'm sure that fade was wondering why he could not move as my marine killed him.

Back in 2.01 days i remember when i played ns_bast i was commander my marines was raping 2 of the hives had all the upgrades i relocated to d res back then and just as we about to win i didnt notice a skulk been munching on my commchair for a fairbit i noticed at the last minute and panicked so i culdnt drop a spare cc and ended up flying out my commchair, then slowly the aliens were picking off the ha 1 by 1 and ended up losing with a spare 300-400 res in the bank.
got abit stressed and didnt comm for a few days.

To Skulk-Goes-Boom how did you managed to spam CCs instead of medpacks when the hotkey for it is F? not a flame just asking mate.

That might have been the days when commander hotkeys weren't neatly arranged, but you had to make an individual bind for every item you could drop.

In a scrim dn` vs Pandas I think we fought through hell to the hive our com told us they had going up. Set up a pg. Set up some seige cannons. Pinged. No hive. GG.

haha the classic arms lab drop. That's happened to me (as in the arms lab was dropped on me) in clan games a bunch lol

Lol, anyone else here accidentaly trap (in 2.0x) an ENTIRE 7 MAN SQUAD OF HA/HMG/WELDERS INSIDE OF COMMAND CHAIRS?

Final rush on the LAST hive they had... and they called for a med shower... I gave em a shower alright... accidetnaly set 21 command chairs down 0o' (we had a CRAP load of res)

STUPID ME! We lost cause that sent like. 500 res down the tubes! (and, bakc then, you couldn't recycle com chairs)

I think the most thing I do all the time is prob drop an arms lab on accident which is quite often. But I usally place alot of things in each important area such as double hive locations and so I place about a Command chair (So aliens won't do something tricky and all rush in base take out the cc and gg no more commander) and so. Also other things I did was usally accidently press v for recycle instead of some other key for electrifcation it happens on usally rts. Theres my stuff and this one guy did an attack icon and a gorge in biodome and send all the HAs just to kill the gorge but nothing bad came out of that at least.

Noob commander on Eclipse.

Mission: Shotgun rush the hive.

Intelligence: "Hive is Maintenance guys!"

Loaded up, tore **** to maintenance, run in, notice theres no node, proceed to notice no hive. Squad proceeds to laugh/eject/flame the commander out of the server.

Mission Status: Failed, Horribly.

Oh if we are talking about someone else too I have a few of them. Like one where the com is like go to this hive location that we have I think someone is coming and after they phased threw like 10 aliens doing <i>TEAMWORK</i> starts coming in rine start takes out the cc before the command even notices (It was like 6 skulks 2 fades a lerk a gorge one onos and aliens had like 2 hives but funny defeat) the marines came back but since they were like 6 skulks, 2 fades, a lerk, a gorge, a onos(Maybe not) attacking the rine start cc it died off fast and boom rines lost.

Another one of the same thing happened this time aliens lost. About the same story except diff map and rines wern't in base. Aliens had one hive rines had 2 hives, aliens killed cc and rines still won. Also what rines did after wards is just rush in the aliens' hive and killed the hive.

Base is being mauled by the 'endgame rush', but we're just about holding them off... pretty much every way out of the base is lamed, and the third hive is building.
I somehow sneak out of base, and spend what feels like 5 minutes stealthing my way towards a hive, hiding when fades or onos run past, diving over OC walls, etc...

I get outside the hive... it's clear... "comm, drop me a PG"... I start building...
Comm' : <i>"OK guys, I'm going to beacon and then I want you all to phase and shoot the hive"</i>.

The commander beacons and everyone runs to the phase gate and presses 'use'... except doh, the comm beaconed before I'd finished building. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />

The biggest blooper I've done more recently was probally dropping an arms lab instead of a med pack (same hotkey) infront of a group of retreating HA that had no armor. Haha.. I got ejected so fast after they all respawned.

Worse thing I have done. Hitting the wrong bind and dropping the arms lab when a bug made you lose all your upgrades when you recycled it.
In one game, I was trying a seige rush on a hive. Turns out there wasn't a hive there. So I seiged rushed the other hive. Sigh again no hive <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

In messhall on nancy, I was comm, my rines were holding down mess towards the end of the game. A fade stepped into the closable-door and crouched <b>in</b> the doorway while spitting acid rockets at the rines. I pinged the hallway and saw an onos coming down the hall towards the fade + door, at the right time I closed the door trying to crush the fade, but ended up killing both the fade and the onos, the onos tried to jump over the crouched fade in the doorway at the exact time I closed it <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' />

Well... once on ns_origin, 2.01, we had an HA train setup, except everyone had shotguns and only half of them had welders. Aliens have 3 hives, but the HA train manages to push out. We take down Furnace, go for Ventilation. However, for some reason, the comm didn't set up any phase gates. After Ventilation is down, we see our comm screaming "BASE BASE!" and then going out of the chair and dying right away to a skulk. Since the comm got out and we didn't have any PGs, we couldn't help at all. So, the aliens ruined the base, and our 6 remaining HAs made their way to Biodome. We managed to kill Biodome hive and we won (none of the original 6 HAs died either).

Well, not very smart by the commander to not make PGs, but hey, we did win. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

Worst thing I ever did is I used to have V bound to voice, so Id select something, press V to talk to my team and be like OMG WTH THE ARMORY IS RECYCLING!? WTH IS GOING ON!!

Yea I had that happen about once at least in about every two maps of commanding. Although they never thought close of ejecting.
