this is certainly a pretty good looking map. some interesting architecture as well.
I'd be more than willing to help write a backstory, but I'd need more information than some information about outer planets and what the laboratory is called. Drop by the fanfic forum with a request and I'm sure plenty of us would be happy to help.

Also your hallways all look very similar, try creating some other unique hallways? For example the hera glass hallway (well the old one) was so unique compared to the other hallways in the map. You need more variance.

I'll do a _basic_ backstory sometime, basing it on what you did previously. Just keep it in mind that I leave varsity on Thursday and only get back in August and will have no Internet connection until then.
I remeber nexus, connected to a public server, said that he was an ns developer and asked about the bugs, then he said he would fix it.. and speak with flayra personally.
The more and more i see screenshots of this, the worse i think the map is. At first you were using textures that are hard to see when badly aligned, now, with the blatant overuse of that yellow texture, you can truely see how little you know of texture alignment. You've evidently spent no time in selecting and applying your textures except when it comes to light fixtures, crates and computer screens.
Take a look at that crane, for example, you've very obviously just applied the texture to each face with no thought to scaling, rotation, etc, and it looks absolutely awful.

I think the yellow is fine; the mood lightning seems to make up for the excess of yellow.
But what does bother me is that crane. It doesn't look like it could possibly be of any use. It doesn't have a track so it can't go anywhere and even if it did have a track it would only go a few feet on that ceiling beam its attached to. I suppose you could make a hatch in a floor panel in the room and say the crane is used to to transport crates to the next lower room or something.
But normally if you are going to have a crane like that it would be in a large room and it would have a track that allows it to traverse the length of the room because that's what those types of cranes are used for.

those screenshots are way to busy, and this is not the fault of the texture usage. I would say it has to do with the lighting Nexus... Everything has about the same brightness which results in a great loss in atmosphere. Don't be afraid to make use of shadows since they will give the areas character and also will make it much easier to look at. It has a very confusing apearance due to all the lines in the used textures.
In short, shadows are your friend (hehe and mine see sig)
I need work more with the lighting yes. The shadows will turn the map to a real map. Well and thanx for all comments. Specially Netbent and Zyko for "OFF TOPIC COMMENTS THAT WAS NOT ABOUT THE MAP" try to comment my map and not me.
