$55 To Blow At Best Buy...

When I bought my laptop I got one of those RewardZone card thinies and so I now have a $55 gift certificate to Best Buy for anything I want. Hooray!

So now I'm trying to decide what to get...

:X Such tough choices!

a few DVDs?
a new 802.11g pcmcia card that is linux compatible since my current one is crap?
a ps2/xbox/gamecube/pc game of some form?
some hardware accessory for ps2/xbox/gamecube/pc?
something else?

I don't HAVE to buy anything, they don't expire until like September something, but I've always had a problem with the whole "money burning a whole in my pocket" thing. :P

Get something like Mystic River on DVD. I don't think they have HL2 preorders at best buy, I checked when I got UT2k4.
Saw Doom 3 preordrs though.

Forgot to mention:

- Best Buy is a 30 minute drive away. On the day HL2/DOOM3/STALKER comes out, I will be heading directly to the EB that's 2 minutes away and I will make it a 45 second trip. So no pre-order on either of those 3. Or anything else for that matter, as I wanna get something I can take home w/ me.

Well I think honestly you should think up a priority list (in terms of gaming), this might help you sort out what is most important for you to get. Rather than just coming up with something at random and later finding out you wanted something else more.

Dunno though, whatever works for you.

Wait until Sunday (the day <a href='http://bestbuy.dailyshopper.com/' target='_blank'>the ads</a> come out in newspapers), buy <i>everything</i> listed as free-after-mail-in-or-instant-rebate, enjoy the numerous newfangled toys of varying usefulness, and then get your money back in the mail a few weeks later.

You know you want GC2 when it comes out. I mean, there aren't any mods for ut with long lasting appeal, and while there is a channel for ns players to get together for ut games (#nsswarm advert!) we organize gc games there too!
