Having this issue as well, getting really annoyed if the texture just doesn't get around the pipe correctly <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo--> !

align the pipetextures correctly (if ypu rotated the pipe 45° then rotate the texture 45° as well) and be sure you checked 'face' when editing it.
Select the pipe, check 'treat as one' and fit.

This is what I would do.

i've never really had this problem, but i think if you just use the texture application to align it, that should work.

The way i do it is select the whole pipe, and click fit. Seems to fix most problems i have with it. There may be other ways, but this seems the easiest.
