Cheating-death

<div class="IPBDescription">Thinks I'm cheating...</div> I recently "upgraded" from XP Home to Professional, and apparently my registry was cleaned as well as .dll associations. Anyways, when I try to start NS with Cheating-Death it shuts down NS instantly. I guess it thinks I'm cheating. Does anyone know how to fix this?

are you using version 4.22.1?

this normally happens if you get a steam update but cheating death isn't yet compatible to the new version. get the latest CD and or try to disable CD .

Actually the latest CD is 4.22.2

Try installing that version.

Since the last series of steam updates CD was behind with updates and would not work. This latest version worked yesterday (6-24).

i have to point out that hl sometimes make a crap load of garbage files that cd thinks are cheats. they are nothing and do nothing (file names make no sence and are 0 bytes).
this may have been fixed... i dont know if it is still a problem or not because for me cd + steam = crash, so i nolonger use cd
