I don't know how you guys can say this game is balanced. its no where's near it.

once the aliens evolve, its over for the humans. it doesn't take but 2 aliens, 1 onos, the other one can be whatever else is there, to shut down any co map.

thats been my biggest gripe since this game was concepted.

I think its just a matter of teaching these idiots how to play with objectives. every map turns into a giant deathmatch game. and just y do the aliens win by default. it should be whoever has the most points.

don't get me wrong, i like the co mode, ns mode just sucks. no one follows the objectives anyways, so y play. I just wish people would quit spawn camping. if i wanted that, i would play cs. The purpose is not the spawn camp (what a concept there, hope its not to big of a word), its to complete the objectives, if it happens to be in the spawn area, then get ur **** out when someone spawns. It takes away all the fun. When i gets to that point, i don't bother trying to move. I just stand there and let the 2 of them kill me. no real point in trying to escape is there. Even if manage to kill 1, the other is still there, with the other one on their way.

so when you "people" learn how to use the objectives, i'll re-install the game.

thank for reminding me why I unistalled it in the first place. and before you flame me, it happened on 10 different servers. the same thing happened over and over again.

    Anything over 6 marines camping in marine-spawn = inpenetrable wall for the aliens. The alien win on default setting is a motivation for the marines to actually move the **** out of their base. I myself still don't think the motivation is great enough anyway since noone cares about who wins at the end anyway.     It's very complex & takes a long time to learn & understand.
    It goes like this.

    Don't play Combat. Stick to normal NS.

    if i want a balanced game i play combat. it just seems that your problem is marines that cant aim. trust me, ns has much bigger balance problems than combat.

    I can't stand ns mode. the admin screen is utterly useless unless u have a 200 key keyboar to bind all the commands to. the commaders always ignore the the people actaully doing the fighting. and they always build stuff in reverse. instead of getting a few resource towers, they use the 1 u get in the beginning and try and upgrade everything. so the aliens always win. so what u have there is co mode.

    I don't have a problem with the marines, other than their weaopons are wholey underpowered. its takes a few guys about 10 repawns just to kill 1 learch. throw an onos in there and ur screweed. tell me this? y can the aliens heal themselves but the marines don't have an medic packs? if we get injured, thats it, we can kill our **** goodbye. you have them in ns mode, how hard could it be to tie it to an entiy so they can be placed around the map. then at least they would have a chance at surving.

    6 guys make an unpentretable wall? yea right, mabe in your world. 1 learch can defeat that line without blinking. all you have to do is kill 2 out 6 and its defeated

    and thats onther thing that is out of wack. why does it take 30 seconds to respawn when its 1 on 1? and even more when its 3 or above? i've timed it. i've literlly watched guys get killed after me and spawn before me, 3 or 4 times in a row this happened. The aliens always end up winning because its damn near forever for us to respawn. then when u do, we have a group of spawn campers awaiting our arrival. y in hell do the mapperes put all the spawn points in 1 place? who taught them how to map? YOU HAVE TO SPREAD THEM OUT OVER A LARGE AREA. otherwise, you get major spawn camping.

    again, your problem is marines that cant aim. i am not saying that the spawn system is "fun" or "fair". but if you have gotten to a position where you can be spawncamped, then it seems youve been outskilled/outplayed. try harder next round.

    Have patience, I mean MORE patience, play on more different servers, be a good grunt, and you'll live long and happy.....until you respawn.

    Ahem. Please keep in mind that the current version of 3.0 is still a beta, and that balancing will still be handled before the final release of 3.0. Also bear in mind that Combat mode is not intended to be the full 'play' mode of NS, it is there for when there aren't enough people to get a proper game of NS going.
